Esan Marsters

again as people on here use words like parasite and saying players have a lack of courage very harsh language in particular AD lack of courage you cant fault that missed tackle on RCG it wasnt a lack of courage.
I bag Nofo out for his defensive issues but never his courage or his hit ups from our line etc that is tough.
We have a few monday Quarterbacks on here that criticise players courage and toughness and using parasite or slug as words to describe them.

AD could fall into the same boat as Esan, cant quiet nail fullback centre or five eigth.
Esan had that one good year

Still struggling to get all the hate for AD. I think with a touch more speed he's got what it takes. Plenty of other noffies in the team to hang ? on.

He’s 21 barely played 10 games at fullback and has had one poor game. Let’s not throw him in the same boat as Marsters he’s got talent and he’s a hard worker

My concern with him apart from his lack of speed is his courage. Those two poor misses vs the eels showed he was well scared to me. Don't get me wrong, I hope he can be great for us.

Throwing himself in front of Paulo and Sivo means he’s scared? I think the complete opposite, he put his body straight in front of the two scariest guys on the field. Technique may have been lacking but to say he’s scared is ludicrous

Technique may have been lacking is an understatement. There's no need to fear the legs in either of those attempts for a first grade footballer. He looked like a deer in the headlights on Paulo. And everyone keeps saying he has size himself. I don't know, I've never seen him up close, but he's definitely not a small bloke. Brooks wouldn't have shirked responsibility in either situation I'd suggest. If it is fear, he needs to get rid of it as a fullback in today's game.

He slowed down Paulo and he had a decent crack at sivo who is pretty much unstoppable from that far out. Scared players don’t throw themselves into monsters like Sivo and Paulo.

He turned his back

He put his body in front. Scared people wouldn’t do that they would let them walk on by, tackle technique needs to be fixed but there’s no issues of his courage. Pretty crazy to call anyone who goes out onto the NRL field scared

Back on topic please..

Although with Doueihi Sivo RCG Paulo Nofoaluma and BJ's dining habits I'm not even sure what the original topic is..

Dont agree he lacks courage, just poor positional play. Where is Brett Hodgson?

My biggest concern for AD was getting gassed by RCG. Yes the initial break shouldn’t have happened but an outside back should never get burned by a front rower, especially your fullback

The Moses chip and chase is excusable I think because most FBs defend in the line like that. And well Sivo probably scores that try 9/10 times anyway

Hopefully the Parra game was a learning curve for things he needs to improve on

IMHO, RCG run was a due to: Grant fell of the tackle, and Aloiai created a gap by sliding to the right, and then just grabbed RCG shadow on his left. After that RCG was at the full speed and hard to tackle, especially if an injury affected some of AD's movements.

Totally agree, no slack for being injured on here.

Once RCG stepped to the right - he had no chance with the injured right knee.

But carry on.

Don't think I've ever made that point, unless you're referring to others?

What a fall from Grace since he left us...

listed as a reserve for the Cowgirls with Connelly Leumelu (who struggled to make Canterbury Cup) listed to play centre...

Also we went hard for Zane Tetevano, he ended up with the Riff, he too is a reserve...

Some big named and highly paid players are struggling in 2020

Corey Thompson is reserve for the Titans despite the tears that were shed here when he left.

When I think of Masters the word "lazy" comes to mind.

Funny, because when I think of JLo I get the same word.

Joey? Except he can actually turn it on when wants to. Shame about Esan. Looked like being anything.

Yes Joey
Masters could also turn it on, but these types of players play to their potential when they feel like it.
That's why I say they're lazy.
