All I know is, a prime minister who closes Aussie Pubs must have a death wish

If the young fools on the weekend had half a brain ...this wouldn't have happened

Younger people simply aren't heeding the warnings ..and many simply don't care

A mate of mine in Townsville relayed a story about a young D-head whos flatmate tested positive and was told to self isolate. Instead he went to a party and ended up in hospital, and he then tested positive. Who knows how many he infected. No brain some people.

Yea i was saying to my missus that adult stores should be essential - people are going to need something to pass the time at home.

Yeah, each to their own and personal choice, though I have never visited seeking a stimulus package.

If the pubs and clubs don't shut down to stave off the spread of this terrible virus and people don't heed the advice given by experts.....it will no longer be a death wish ...it will be a shocking reality..

It already happened dude . As of 12pm today .

Who is enforcing the closures? As far as I can see most things are still open lol

Most places on Norton Street are still open tomorrow...weird

In Lidcombe this afternoon and the cops were onto the Korean shops moving people out and demanding the tables on the street to be removed... they waited until they drove off and put them back on the footpath . These people only respect one thing money .. fine them $5k if there caught again .. that’s a lot of coffee sales !

$5k?

If they refuse to follow the rules then they should be locked up until the ban is lifted.

If you're going to implement draconian rules, you need to implement draconian punishments.

Too harsh?

Fines would probably be more appropriate in tough times. You reckon these businesses will be able to afford a $5-10K fine if it meant ruin? Do it to a couple, and the rest would comply.

Yep, all our sites are still open. Unions in a precarious position here. Do they make sure employee health (a welfare issue,) is priority, or their livelihood (a welfare issue)?

It's been left up to the builders at this point, we're only one sneeze away from a builder getting the yips and shutting a site down out of fear of repercussions.

Gladys has not enough space in jail to put away all the criminals now.Massive fines is the only way to go

Yeah, it's going to be awful in more than just economic ways, the worst in society will be brought to the fore... 🙁

I heard mentioned that hairdressers were included as an essential service- how does a hairdresser cut your hair from a 1.5 metre distance.?
there should be a lot of long haired hippies around the place
back to the future- yeehah!

Mate, your DP speaks for itself???

Little angry man ting

Domestic Violence is the absolute last thing to be worried about... unbelievable thing to say.

My community is responding quite well to this! Definitely no propensity toward crime or abuse around here but it definitely has/is happening as we speak all over the map - the bigger concern around here (for me) in a minority white area, is the amount of hoarding and shoplifting already... where are the Boys in Blue???
