Essential vs Non-essential

I just though I'd have a small poll about what people consider essential businesses.

Let's just throw business types out there and discuss

I'll throw one now.. motels

Tough one. My first thought was motels are non essential, but if you're currently in one, not really any chance to leave with borders closing down, maybe it's essential for people currently in them.

All I know is, a prime minister who closes Aussie Pubs must have a death wish

If the young fools on the weekend had half a brain ...this wouldn't have happened

Younger people simply aren't heeding the warnings ..and many simply don't care

If the pubs and clubs don't shut down to stave off the spread of this terrible virus and people don't heed the advice given by experts.....it will no longer be a death wish ...it will be a shocking reality..

All the closing were going to happen ...but I'm sure after watching the footage at the beach , pubs , nightclubs etc the Govt was forced to do this

And if you know some imbecile that was in this group , let them know that they helped 10 of thousands of people lose their jobs today

I know I will be bringing it up ...I have 4 of my party goers on shift today / tonight

That’s the trouble with making statements and policies with such broad wording. There is no definition and depending on your perspective those classifications will have different meanings.

can the qld trams come down to sydney and we play the comp in nsw ?

Warriors relocated for the good of the comp. No reason Qld clubs, and soon probably Storm can't do it too.

Yea but there are pubs and there are pubs. Lake Cathie Tavern would struggle to have 10 people in it at any given time yet they are punished the same as pubs in Newtown that cater to hundreds. Seems like overkill to shutdown small country pubs that more than likely won't survive.

Yea i was saying to my missus that adult stores should be essential - people are going to need something to pass the time at home.
