ET: 57 tackles

Just noticed that ET pulled off 57 tackles (according to NRL website). That would have to be a club record wouldn't it.

He certainly tightens the middle up. Hope we can keep him.

And he didnt stop, got back up and in the Defensive line again.

Its a real shame when other players fail to follow suit and help a hard working player.

Inspiring effort

Untile we get our defense as a unit right we will watch others come september.
Despite what some gibberers heresay, good teams can score 22 points and win….we arent a good team, no defense no finals
Defense wins comps

Well done to ET

Yes hope we do keep him…..but 57 tackles nullifies his involvement in attack. Maybe a plan from Does but really think he's the glue for our halves coming out of our half.
Maybe if we're out of the race for the 8 he's given a game in the 6???? And Moses plays 7 tho

People may not agree but with him and Marty in our team we would have looked like a way different outfit.

The safe carries of Woodsy
The taking the line by ET
The hard aggressive running from Marty fending people off and offloading
And the back ups from Sue and Ava..

I will take that dream to bed tonight

Very good game once again from ET. Just wished the team could hit and stick better in defence in general.

Still makes me wonder are we best off having Aloiai play tight and have ET defending on the right side

No, we need his work rate in the middle plus he won't necessarily be as effective defending wider out. He wants to play lock where he feels he works best so just let him play lock.

He's definitely emerged as a key member of rapidly improving team, His leadership via 100% effort and quality football has made him an absolute necessity for next year. He's a player you can build a pack of forwards around.

I think he should be signed up and made captain from next year….love Woodsy but he is not a good captain. I do not recall him talking to the ref during a game this year to query a call or influence future decisons in a game.

For mine, ET would be my choice as captain for 2017 and beyond.

He was our best player, and that offload to Liddlee wow

During the 2nd half i though he was having his worst game for us. Even thought to myself i would like to know hw many tackles he's made cos he looks stuffed and didnt cover the inside on occasions like he normally would. I have never seen a guy so out on his feet for such a long period and the cosch leave him on.

So my initial thought of him struggling is well explained now with his 57 tackles. What it doesn't explain is why Jason Taylor left him on when he was clearly struggling. He couldnt get back onside for 4 tackles when the bulldogs kicked it once. I was screaming for JT to give him a spell and out Alioai on in the middle for a bit, but he left Josh off for an eternity. We also had our smallest and least powerful pack on the field when they had there biggest pack. We cant have Sue, Ava and Alioai all off and the same time against such a big pack and have Lovett, Elijah, Liddle and a baby in Felise on to stop the likes of Kasiano.

Very poor game management by Jason Taylor.

For the life of me i cant work out why we always look so vulnerable when a team goes wide. Every single time we look to have no one there leaving our outside backs with 3 or 4 players coming at them. It happens more on the right then the left, but last night it was both sides that looked short. Opposition teams always look to have the numbers when we go wide, so what are they doing that we are'nt? Its frustratimg the hell out of me.
Im starting to think the main problem on the right is Moses making his decision too early and coming in leaving Kev and Nofo to do the same. Brooks doesnt come in nearly as much as Moses and Simona's side always looks stronger in numbers. Could it be as simple as that? I doubt it. Tough job to fix it but surely there are guys that know a lot more than us there to do it.

I reckon when Teddy comes back Kev moves to left wing outside Simona. MCK right centre but he defends 3 in where moses is and Moses defends a spot futher out. So
