Ex players still being paid by Tigers

There is an article in todays Tele that the following ex players are still on the Tigers payroll;

Liddle - $50k until end 23
Musgrove - $125k until end 24
Joe O - $150k until end 25 😂
Hastings -$100k until end 23 😂
Maumolo - $100k until end 23
Gildart - $50k until end 23

I assume these figures are per year

On the flip side they are getting $400k back this year for Klemmer and $200k for Staines this year only ..


Can’t believe they were in so much of a hurry to move Joe on that they had to pay $450k over the three years for the privilege and paying anything for Hastings to play elsewhere is a travesty…

I can live with the others ( even Musgrove which is two years - he was so poor )

It is Murdoch media so i hesitate to believe it but if it is anywhere near the truth it is more stupidity by Sheens,why the hell would we be subbing Joffa's pay at Pawwa and Hastings's pay at the knights.If those figures are correct we are wasting 575k this year 275k next year and 150k in 2025.

Imagine any other workplace doing this, it would be bonkers and also so deflating as an employee lol the big dollars would probably make you get over it fast.

Hastings was an especially bad call from a team that has made plenty … I notice Lee throwing “the coaching staff” under the bus about it now saying it was “their decision” …must have been copping some grief over this call, and looking to offload that one onto Sheens and Benji

article seems pretty balanced to me…they listed several other players at other clubs and even a couple of our players being subsidised by other clubs …

You can bet some of these player managers are being wined and dined all the time by these Journos … so wouldn’t be at all surprised what might slip out on the fourth bottle of red
