Ex Tigers in ESL Playoffs

A host of former Tigers players were involved in 2 Super League semi finals overnight.
Brett Hodgson's Huddersfield Giants came from behind in the dying minutes of the match to score a dramatic 18-12 win over a unlucky Crusaders outfit, the Welsh boyos featured former Tigers in Rocky Trimarchi, Lincoln Withers, Ryan O'Hara, Rhys Hanbury & Nick Youngquest and it was Hanbury who scored the Crusaders only try.
The other game saw the fierce rivallry of the Hull clubs playing their most important clash since the 1980 Challenge Cup final, Hull KR prevailed at Hull FC's home ground 21-4 with former Tigers premiership player Ben Galea being one of the Robin's stars while Willie Manu who has qualified for a England jumper was in the Airlie Birds team.
Pat Richard's Wigan side play tonight against the Leeds Rhinos, on Friday night St Helens accounted for Warrington.

Pat Richards bottled it tonight, one of the three kicks he missed he should have put over and it cost Wigan's place in the semi-final

Leeds win over Wigan proves that it is not a 2 horse race with Warrington St Helens and Leeds capable of winning the Grand Final over the runaway Minor Premiers, funny how Pat waits until now to have an off day with the boot!.

St Helens are the First team into the ESL Grand Final next weekend with their opponents likely to be the Wigan Warriors who should defeat Leeds to mean that Pat Richards will be the only former 2005 Wests Tigers hero on show on the big night after Brett Hodgsons Huddersfield Giants went down 24-42 overnight.
