I created this to say, how embarrassing is it going to be when this team makes the finals before us 😂

Yes won't be pretty. But the NRL will do all they can to funnel talent and big names to the new team in the hope of success. Comps too light on depth, addition of new team in the next 4yrs is lunacy. With no junior comps due to covid they need to wait it out longer. I wouldn't be looking at expansion for at least 5-6yrs. Our product is a joke atm ridiculous rules chopping and changing all the time. Pandering to tv execs detrimental to the game.

If we're going to add a team I would rather a team in Perth or second NZ team than another Brisbane team.

Well a word of warning to the Wests Tigers how many Brisbane fans will switch alliances with a new team rather than support a merged enity that are not performing.

I certainly would consider it if the Dolphins get the Nod and the same management at the Top in place.......
I am a very loyal person but there is a limit as i already switch offs games we are not performing in rather than watch the whole game.

If the NRL are going to funnel talent and big names to the new team than we are safe

sooner it happens the better,the whole game seems a bit stagnant at the moment,good 4 a lot of fans old/new to have a team of their own in there district,a second team to care about again for others

I think there is enough player talent in rugby league. I actually think what is lacking is coaching. There are so many players in the NRL at the moment who lack fundamentals which should be taught at a young age. Too many of them are taught what will give them success now, rather than what will give them a solid foundation to work with into the future. A 11 year old shouldn't need to know how to run a block shape.

Doesn't sound "very loyal". "Somewhat loyal" perhaps.

There are tonnes of QLD-based Tigers fans, I think many of them would already have quit by now if good performances are the primary condition for ongoing support.

Agree that while COVID is still making so many aspects of sport uncertain, no concrete plans can be laid right now.

Have been a supporter since the late 80s, but this week considered what I’ll do if the new venture is Redcliffe based as has been suggested.

Could be very difficult to continue supporting the Tigers given the extremely rare opportunity to start supporting a local club from their inception.

Obviously none of us follow the club due to there on field success atm, it’s in you to follow the club, Balmain and now West Tigers are part of me, I can’t change it.

I am confident it will turn around, it always does, but like everyone, I wish I knew when?

Just attempt by the NRL to help prop up the fast falling value of the game. Sadly it will have a massive inflationary effect on the game, forcing contract prices up. Why are a lot of players signing one year deals now??

Talent is short on the ground now and you can bet your bottom dollar any new team will be given a leg up. I guess the vision from HQ is to force one or two Sydney clubs to the wall and get some more new franchises in better geographical time slots..Perth and NZ, in order to increase the media deal.

Absolutely crazy idea if we are going to run with all the existing teams

The NRL tried a 20 team competition some years ago and it flopped so badly the numbers had to be reduced to the present 16. The TV networks are almost certainly behind the current expansion push More teams mean more customers for their advertisers.
