Farah and Potter in Pressers

with an even run with injuries and disruptions (suspensions etc.) and if we play to our 'potential' we can string 5-6 together and go into the semi's with momentum….does it remind anyone of anything? very similiar feeling for mine.

its a whole new ball game once you get to the semi's, tracks are hard and fast and with all our injuries we should be one of the freshest teams. I reckon this team is every bit as good as 2005 (the pack is much stronger) and it is a very open comp.

just watched NRL360 again….blocker and kent don't seem to have anymore idea than anyone else about what is going on. kent sent one player is obviously not happy because someone has leaked to press and blocker basically said he hopes he stays and says that the coaching staff as a whole should be judged together on their results.

Was watching nrl360 and paul kent made a comment about 1 player not wanting potter. Obviously it's Robbie. He can obviously see that potter is not the man for the job. I think potter lacks any vision especially with our attack and he doesn't have the balls to make the tough calls to drop players ie. Lawrence and Anasta.
It's his job to get the best out of players and he's not doing that consistently

It's up to Robbie to get over himself. I love him and he's our best player. But he's a player and he's job is to listen and follow the coach and it's even moreso his job as captain.

I agree, as Gus says, the players play, the coaches coach and the administrators administrate, and it's when those roles are jumbled, that a club will experience problems.

He had the balls to drop Benji but you think he hasn't to do the same to Lawrence or Anasta. Second tier cap has more to do with them than Potters courage.

4 or 5 questions today to Robbie and he barely uttered a positive word about the coach. This in light of reports Potter is set to be axed. All he did was deflect and say we want things sorted "one way or another" Seems pretty clear to me he would be happy to see him go.

Anyone starting to see where im coming from with the disconnect between the pair?!

You're not alone. Coach/captain relationships are vitally important to team success.

I can understand Potter taking time to bring the youngsters through.
He won a Dally M in only his second year with the Bulldogs, alongside the Mortimers etc, and would know the value of learning from old heads, even if players like Anasta haven't been performing. That is thinking of the future.
Something our board may well be incapable of if egos are at play.

Farahs latest interview was really pathetic. He either supports the coach and says as much or he doesn't and says things like that's between the board (of which there is none - is that right??) and Mayer and the coach. Im beginning to see through his pathetic attempt at neutrality.

This is nothing new. It has been clear from around June 2013 that Farah and Potter do not have a close relationship.

I get the feeling Farah wont be involved in knifing Potter but neither will he defend him. Given the relationship thats fair enough.

So what should Farah do? Criticise the coach in public? Yeh righto.

If Farah doesnt support Mick, the appropriate and only thing to do is say nothing.

I have been a Farah critic in the past but there is nothing wrong with his approach to this one.

Maybe he should ask for a release. Or, maybe he could say I have an opinion but am unable (unfortunately) to express it. At least he wouldn't be denying his difference of opinion. He either supports the coach or he doesn't support the coach. It's a very simple concept.

Farah did say the players by choice are staying out of the decisions concerning the coach, because as players, it is the game and playing they are focused on.
At no stage in the coach captain interviews of recent times have I noticed any ill feeling between the two.
It is up to the board and management to knock this speculation on the head quickly….yes?
If they sack the coach now, can you really see that as being helpful to the sides chances this year?....I can't
In my view it will reflect poor management

Atmosphere between the pair now toxic.

Seeing Mick drag Farah in to a private room for 20 minutes before kick off was a shocking look for our club.

How on earth were we are chance today with that going on. Our most important game of the season and it was hy-jacked.

Im very angry with the whole situation. Its just disgusting. Our fans deserve better and our younger players much be thinking am i really going to reach my potential at this basket case of a football club?

Can see farah heart beating a hundred miles an hour when questioning him about the scene of him and potter talking before game.. something pressing his button. Sick of all the politics. Worse than Labour government.
