Besides biting, king hits and maybe head-butting, it seems dangerous throws are the most frowned upon infringement in the game. I'm not shocked to hear he might get 2 games (even for an early plea). **To be honest I think the guy could use a bit of a rest, as stupid as that sounds after only 3 weeks.**

I thought he was better this week, but still get the feeling he's carrying a niggle.

Yeh, thats a thought….hopefully he comes back all guns blazing, fully fit and raring to go

Hopefully Moltzen can stand up and prove his worth without Rob it's now or never for him. The tackle went wrong and he did get him in a bad position but looking at it from a dif point of view if Enis tackled one of our players in the same position we would all want blood and be calling for a harsh ban. So 2 weeks is fair for mine althow i would rather he played. It is just one of those things we all know robbie isn't a dirty player but accidents do happen as long as the nrl treat other similar incidents this year the same i can live with it.

So Benji and Beau end up with concussions and the Dragons miss no games, but Hornby doesn't get a scratch and Farah can get 3 weeks.

Makes sense. :bash

Yeah pretty ticked off with that too, especially the hit on Beau, I think it was Dan Hunt that put some swing into that hit.

Can someone please tell me what's wrong with Robbie I know a lot of ppl are going to say he is coming back from injury BUT IMO he has not been right for 2 seasons and does not look happy at the tigers ????
I,m with you, he has not been dynamic for a few season,s now. He is playing like a half back not a hooker.

Robbie has been going pretty good I reckon. I think people expect too much of players at time.

He is very unlucky with the grading of the tackle, I thought grade 1.

On the other hand Latimore in particular is extremely lucky, that looked like an old fashion stiff arm, looked intentional, he should have got 4-6 and Merrin at least 1 or 2.

I would be tempted to fight the charge, maybe even get hornby to support the claim.

Maybe it's what's going on with his mum.

Good point, Joe. Having just lost my mum last month, after a lengthy stint in hospital, I can honestly say that it does take a toll on every aspect of your life, even when you think it doesn't. You only have one mum, after all.

It should be a week. It was dangerous ….

However 3 weeks is very heavy handed for that. He didnt drive him into the ground and Hornby did contribute a bit as well through weight change due to his twisting.

Any way hope its just the 2, and he fixes any niggles he still has.

Not that many years it would of been classed as a great hit Unfortunately times have changed and I must admit they have to protect the neck and spinal area

They can't possibly fight the charge and win and losing Farah for three weeks could seriously damage our final chances

It will be hard to back the Tigers without Farah

He usually plays really well against the Raiders as well :brick:

I think we could see Nathan Waters wearing number 9 this week …..

I have not heard too many kind words about him playing reserve grade, must have better options, maybe Humble to hooker, Miller to half and Moltzen to fullback.

Some of you make me sick. He could barely train at all during pre-season due to his surgery and recovery. He has also been looking after his mum whilst recovering. First game back in horrid conditions and gets a broken nose for his trouble and then re-breaks it the next week agaisnt manly while making a million tackles and then friday night i thought he looked much better out of dummy half that the first two weeks, not to mention getting a nasty gash on the hand during the game. What a warrior!

Hear ! hear !!!!!!!!

Well said, and he's playing behind a beaten forward pack which is not dominating the ruck. Wait and see the difference when the Tigers do start winning the wrestle in the middle.

Farah NRL charge a new blow for Tigers
Ian McCullough
March 19, 2012 - 6:44PM

AAP

Tipped by many to be the team to beat in 2012, Wests Tigers' season is in danger of reaching crisis mode with skipper Robbie Farah potentially facing a two-match suspension.

Farah was slugged with a grade-two dangerous throw charge in his side's defeat to St George Illawarra at Kogarah last Friday.

The 28-year-old was not placed on report for the incident which involved Dragons halfback Ben Hornby in the fourth minute of the match.

However, the NRL's match review committee deemed it to be serious and, should Farah take the early guilty plea, he'll miss the Tigers' next two games against Canberra and South Sydney.

If he fights the charge and loses, the hooker will also sit out the round six-clash with Brisbane.

The loss of Farah, who has not missed a game for the joint venture in two seasons, would be a huge blow for Tim Sheens' side.

The Tigers have been defeated in their past two matches by the Dragons and Manly and only scraped past Cronulla in golden point in round one to record their sole win of the year.

Farah said after the game the tackle was unintentional and made an immediate apology to Hornby and was hopeful of escaping punishment.

"I just go under him and, in the momentum of the tackle, he kind of ducked in, but it happened real quick and I apologised straight away," Farah said.

Should he be sidelined, the Tigers' depleted squad would be under even more pressure and their playmaking stocks severely tested.

Sheens has already lost rookie fullback James Tedesco for the season to a cruciate ligament injury and was forced to offload starting halfback Robert Lui following off-field issues last year.

Utility Tom Humble, who has been installed as starting fullback, could possibly replace Farah with Joel Reddy or Beau Ryan able to play at the back.

Reddy has replaced knee-injury victim Matt Utai on the wing so Sheens may be forced to rush back veteran Lote Tuqiri, who's been out with a hand injury.

Sheens also has issues in his forwards, with experienced prop Keith Galloway out for at least another six weeks with a foot injury.

But a bigger short-term concern to Sheens will be how his inexperienced front-rowers have fared in the past two weeks.

The club have placed great faith in 21-year-old props Aaron Woods and Matt Groat, but they struggled to contain the Dragons up the middle last Friday with Michael Weyman in particular causing havoc.

Tigers officials were reportedly in talks with veteran prop Willie Mason, who's back in Australia and looking for a club.

The former NSW front-rower struggled to make an impression in an ill-fated six-game Super League spell with Hull KR last year.

He was last seen playing rugby union in France for Toulon and, following his undistinguished stint in the 15-man game, is training on his own in Sydney.

However, the rumours linking him to the Tigers won't go away, and it would be a sign of their desperation if they sign a player who has not been contracted to a rugby league club since May 2011.

Tackle was well over the horizontal, and two weeks is probably a fair reflection IMO. Gives the man time to heal up the nose and the hand and maybe clear his head for his comeback. BTW Galloway another 6 weeks? What gives? Said it was 6 weeks to begin with now another week ontop? 10 rounds before we see him back

i think this is agood thing robbie can rest up come back and i hope find his old form but give someone like p politini a go the kid is a goer and deserves a chnce wont hurt the team. for someonelike pat i hope to put a bit of pressure on robbie someone needs to coach wont. also dugan is out six weeks and fensom is out monday.

Bet Gibbs and Fafita are feeling vindicated, in their anger at being dumped, right about now :unamused:

On the positive… here is an opportunity for young Politoni, and an opportunity for the team to play more direct and concentrate on the basics. An opportunity for Moltzen to get more involved, take the line on etc.

I hope this is what happens, I'm not a fan of Fulton at dummy half as his pass is not direct and flat enough.

And as much as I'd like to see Miller get a run, due to our form I can't see a major re-shuffle happening to get him into the team at halfback.
