For all we know he has been vocal behins closed doors.
With all the drama at the club he dodsn't need to add fuel to the fire by speaking to the media

Or embarrass himself like he did on twitter

Agree just had a look and Lote played 27 games in his first year followed by 9 last yr and 12 this yr. So 48 games in 3 seasons . Just as a comparison Gareth Ellis only played 53 games so only 5 games more in the last 3 years and I wouldn't call his time injury riddled and Beau only played 54 - so over 3 years that is only 2 games a season difference

Robbie's silence has been a little deafening in the past few days given he is the club captain. I know there probably isn't a lot for him to say at the moment, but maybe the silence suggests he is supporting the moving on of Sheens and is giving the club and board some 'help' through the process…

I'd rather he keep his emotions in check with regards to the media and public and air them where they really count - to management and the board. Much prefer the way he has dealt with this opposed to Benji who had a massive sook in the SMH yesterday.

I totally agree with the comments on Robbie - I have a lot of respect for the way he has handled this as captain of the club and understood that he is best not to say anything publicaly - Benji could learn a lot from Robbie's efforts

Last time Farah’s contract was due, he was ready to sign with the Titans but after resigning with us he stated his heart was always with the tigers. The contract before he was ready to join the Bulldogs but again resigned and stated he was always going to stay with the Tigers. This time its Parra, so is our captain playing mind games and just trying to grab as much money as he can or has Ricky filled his head with promises and visions of glory?.

The departure of Sheens swings it way back to us.

Mind you Gareth offered the team a lot more in his time here and consistently played well and did his job
Lotes first year was great
But even when he played last year and this he didn't offer much … Not half of what koro brings at least

WE ARE HAVING MONEY PROBLEMS, YET WE OFFER LEWIS $600,OOO WERE WAS THIS COMING FROM. AND NOW WE ARE GETTING RID OF PLAYERS WHAT THE F**** IS GOING ON AT THIS CLUB.

I don't understand the money problem issue either? This talk was around BEFORE rhino and Ryan were let go. Maybe it's nothing to do with the salary cap because, correct me if I'm wrong, the coach's salary is not included in the cap. Is it just that we haven't got the ready cash to payout Sheens?

Yean CQ Coaches salary has nothing to do with salary cap at all

We might struggle to pay Sheens full contract out

The problem is Wests have the cash… Balmain doesn't .
And this in the future will potentially be a bigger issue than Getting rid of Tim.
How do I know? Have been CEO of 2 listed companies in AU/NZ that entered into JV as competitors, had equal Board representation and funding responsibilities. One of the JV partners remained strong and cash flow/ profit positive..the other struggled. If you google the 2011 Annual Reports for both clubs you will see exactly what I mean. If Balmain can't come up with the extra cash then Wests can rightfully suggest that if they put up the cash then the compensation can be A higher Board representation or a higher JV split.

Before anyone gets their knickers in a knot I have been a Balmain supporter for over 50 years ..but the numbers don't lie

If the monies come from Wests and they don't want compensation In respect of higher Board representation or higher JV split then we Balmain supporters should be very grateful. If Wests only get paid interest on their loan..we should also be very gratefull.

Chances Off Robbie staying is pretty good.
And last few days have helped the cause plus other factors

If I remember correctly the Wests side of the joint venture did not want the Western surburbs tag and insisted on Wests Tigers being the name of the JV. And there is no way they would give up the marketability of the Tiger.

Agree white _tiger but that will never change what happens in A JV. It's no different to a game of football..each side fights to win and the only thing you hope for is that common sense prevails after the 'game' and the focus remains on the big picture . So far it has but given the financial problems that exist with Balmain don't think that the status quo can be maintained for much longer unless Balmain can pull a Cronulla type deal out of the hat . That opinion is based on reviewing the financial reports that have been issued by both JV clubs for 2011 and I don't see much will have changed in 2012 for Balmain. The other thing to consider is that under the terms of the JV each side gets to appoint a Chairman after 3 years. Don't know how long Troden has been in the job as Chairman but his time must be coming to an end soon and that will mean a representative from Wests will assume the role.

Actually with the Chairmanship, it changes every year. Trodden has been chairman since March, which I think is when they do their changeover. The reason this is often misinterpreted is because when the Wests nomination (which is Mike Bailey at the moment) is chairman, they're never sighted and don't seem too interested in getting involved for WT sake, but Trodden seems to be highly involved with the NSWRL and the Clubs Group. Not necessarily a critique though, more an observation.

I do,its the Elephant in the room,Wests will get the licence, like Manly, if the JV fails.

VERY unlikely to the point of almost nil chance. The NRL wouldn't give a licence to another Sydney team if one fell through, let alone a brand that has been dead and buried for over a decade. There has been too much time and money invested in the Wests Tigers brand for them to allow it to be thrown away to go back to the Wests Magpies. The licence will probably be sent to the Bears on the Central Coast or to Perth.
