Rose coloured glasses implies you are seeing things you want to see. Considering i don't want Farah leaving i can't say i have any. Maybe i'm just a reaslist who knows that he owes us nothing and considering the basket case we are, you can't say anything is for sure
And also i'm sure almost everyone shared the view halfway through the yr Sheens would never be sacked, so i wouldn't think just because almost everyone shares your opinion that it carries weight

b]Good points GNR . Not sure we are a basket case just yet.. The changes that most people on the forum ( correct me if I am wrong) have been calling for , for at least the past 2 years, are starting to happen . Given the playing roster we still have and the NYC players coming through My opinion is that if we appoint the right coach and Robbie stays the future is looking quite 'rosy'. For me the bigger danger is the CEO and Board getting it wrong again.
Its the way the club is going about doing these things that has people concerned. They re-signed Sheens to half a mil only last yr and have now backed themselves into a pretty expensive corner. Not to mention all the drama of whats happened with players contracts

Yep the board made the decision to offer Sheens a new 3 year deal based on the fact that the year before we were one game away from the grand final. Last year we were looking good and then let the Warriors pinch the semi from us. Their decision was correct at the time with everyone thinking that we would go a lot better this year. Every boy and his dog thought that Blair was bringing in the "mongrel" that we needed for the next step.
What happened? Blair disappointed. Lost the fullback for the year in our first game and that seemed to change everything for us. Most people on this forum have ridiculed the coaches decision on "musical chairs" and rightly so. The injury list didn't help.
I agree with Snow Leopard - we need to get the right person as coach. I won't know if the correct person was chosen purely by his name in the paper. I will know if he is the right coach by 4 weeks into next years season.

NOW Michael Ennis has led the Bulldogs to a grand final it will be interesting to see if Bulldogs directors stop their none-too-subtle approaches to his arch rival, Robbie Farah. Ennis had lost his state spot to the Wests Tigers skipper and Farah has long been preferred at international level as a back-up to Cameron Smith. And there are still some in Bulldog land who long to have Farah at the club. Ennis is popular among his teammates and Des Hasler would not have made him skipper if he did not have huge respect for him, but not all of the club's officials are sold on their hooker. Farah is off contract next year and the turmoil surrounding the coach and the dismissal of his mates from the Tigers will not make it easy for Farah to stay put. He was hoping to ink a new deal before Christmas - but the evolution of the playing roster is sure to be a major consideration. Farah always had a challenging relationship with Tim Sheens. They were professional, but a long way from being best buddies. In the eyes of some, Sheens went so hard in support of Farah as an ''Origin player'' during the season in an effort to bring him closer to him. The Tigers can't let Farah go to the Dogs or the Eels, who will make a public play for Farah at some point. In his time as Blues coach, Ricky Stuart learned all about Farah as a player and a person and he liked what he saw. If Stephen Humphreys loses Farah he will lose his gig as well.
