Farah in doubt for Warriors clash.

Wests Tigers coach Mick Potter will give Robbie Farah until NRL game day to be ready to tackle the Warriors after the skipper sat out training on Wednesday with a calf strain.

Farah had his right calf protected in skins and spent much of the Tigers' 90-minute session at Concord Oval casting an eye over training with club legend Steve Roach.

High on confidence after their big upset win over South Sydney and chasing a third straight victory on Saturday, the Tigers are eager to ride the momentum and have Farah on deck in Wellington.

But veteran five-eighth Braith Anasta admits the captain is struggling.

"I'd like to think that he'd play, but he's not fully fit," Anasta said.

"We'll give him til kick-off, really."

While the unfancied Tigers are chasing a hat-trick of wins, the Warriors are looking to avoid three consecutive defeats after starting the season roundly tipped to make the top eight.

The Tigers know they need to minimise the impact of freakish halfback Shaun Johnson and England Test fullback Sam Tomkins.

"You've got to try to go through them and you've got to starve them of the football because they are creative," Anasta said.

"Shaun Johnson and Sam Tomkins are very skilful. They can score from anywhere on the field.

"So it's a big game for us, especially over there.

"It's a big game for them too because they've had a slow start to the season."

Anasta said the halves clash between Johnson and Tigers young gun Luke Brooks would be worth the admission price alone.

"They're different players. Shaun Johnson, geez he's light-footed," he said.

"They've both got good vision and they're both quick, so I suppose there are some similarities but he's a dangerous player, Johnson.

"There's no doubt about that and I don't think he's reached his potential. I think he's got his best ahead of him."

I don't feel as worried as I may have been in the past with possibility of losing Robbie. Don't get me wrong he is my first pick but I feel we have not been AS reliant on him, particularly in the last 2 game, as we have in the past. I am happy Brooks with Anasta can direct the team.

I see this game as a real important clash, we need to keep the comp points rolling in as their will be a slump and probably soon with both Manly and the Chooks games just around the corner. So we need Farah, especially now he is killing it playing a more traditional no 9 style of a game.

Yeah but does he have the motor for 80 mins of NRL.

Dummy half is the toughest possy for a fill in to handle, other forwards can be benched for a spell, and the backs usually just observe….bit worried bout this

You sir, should come out from under your rock and join the forum or just go away. Your last two posts have been designed to undermine the Wests Tigers by referring to the club as the Balmain Tigers. Balmain Tigers and my beloved Wests Magpies have been gone from the NRL for 15 years now, so either get on board with the Wests Tigers or go away - this applies to others out there as well.
You may be a guest but to my mind you are a very unwelcome one. Wests Tigers forever!

Mate I'm a member and say and do what ever I like I love the wests tigers. $hits me when you magpie supporters say stupid stuff like {did he play for wests tigers} referring to Steve roach a balmain legend. The tigers supporters would know him more than you. It's disrespectfull when you bag a balmain legend like it or not he still remains a tiger or wests clearly he loves wests tigers too. To even be there. So go tell your wanker mate off. Cause I'm going no where . Tiger blood.

id put Luani in if Farah is injured. Cherrington is going to be a good player but giving him his first look against a massive warriors pack is a bad idea
