Robbie Farah has been named on the bench to play in the one off Test Match against the Kiwis at Townsville.

Im sure if Sheens was juvenile enough to use payback for whatever reason, he wouldnt have picked him in the first place :bash

Yes.well deserved Robbie. Thought Benji was going to have surgery on Achilles & thumb ..wen to a few training sessions near end of season and he was always limping near the end
 
well done to Farah, hope he gets on the field, in the ANZAC test this year Cherry-Evans sat on the bench for 80, so there is a chance he will be excess baggage.

Very strong side though, glad to see Tamou and Josh Morris there.
 
This is a great reward for Robbie… Thoroughly deserved for a good year and great SOO Series.

Enjoy your time Robbie, and put one on Benji if you get the chance!
 
I'm off to see the game saturday night here at DFS.Hopefully Robbie gets a run,as I'm looking fordward to seeing him in with the top players.Also want to see Benji in the opposition side,how he goes there.Looking for a good night of footy,by the best.Also it should be the last game at DFS,as DFS has not renewed its sponship for 2013,so I'm told,rumour has it may become "Steggles Stadium"hear anything down there..

We can’t afford to be complacent says Farah

Wests Tigers Hooker Robbie Farah says Australia can’t afford to rest on its laurels heading into Saturday night’s Test match against New Zealand in Townsville.

The experienced Wests Tigers captain has been named on the interchange bench as a utility. It will be Farah’s first Test match in his home country.

Farah says the Kiwis have named a very strong side despite missing tough prop Jarred Warea-Hargreaves who was left out of the squad. Wests Tigers team-mate Adam Blair was a late call up to the squad for the injured Jeremy Smith.

“You can judge a quality team by the players they’ve left out. I saw Jared Waerea Hargreaves missed out and Adam Blair didn’t make the squad either so when you’re leaving out that calibre of player it just goes to show the strength of their team. They’re going to be a tough opposition,’’ Farah said.

“We seemed to have had the wood over them in the past but the history doesn’t mean anything in these one off games. If you don’t show up with that intensity and the will to play you can easily find yourselves losing the game.

“For us it’s a matter of not being complacent and really working hard. It’s pretty tough at the end of a long year and some boys haven’t played in a while as well. We’ve got to pick ourselves up again and make sure we’re ready to go.”

The prospect of facing off against close team-mate Benji Marshall also excites Farah. Marshall will play his 27th Test match for the Kiwis.

“I have only played against Benji once before. It’s always interesting and always tough. He’s the sort of player where you’re not too sure what he’s going to throw up at you and you’ve just got to expect anything,’’ Farah said.

“If you give him time and space he can really cut you apart. The Aussies have done a pretty decent job against him in the past, Tim (Sheens) knows him inside out as well so I’m sure we’ll have a game plan ready to try and limit Benji’s opportunities. “

Farah said he was looking forward to pulling on the green and gold and to finish the year off on a good note.

“It’s a great thing for me to make this team. Hopefully we can end the season with a good win, have a good break and then get back into it at the start of pre-season,’’ Farah said.

“At the start of the year rep footy is always one of your main goals and origin was a big one for me this year and to now get this opportunity in the Test side is another achievement I’m really proud of.”
 
When Robbie Farah got a run the Aussies seemed to go better,maybe it was late in the game too.However it was great to see the WT players on both side play with all the quality players there.The game itself didn't reach as high expecations as I would have liked but its season end and I'd say all players would welcome "holiday time"and get away for awhile.So until 2013.Maybe WT will not start favourite and can get to the finals without lots of pressure on them…

Thought Josh Hoffman was motm personally, had a blinder, Kasiano too…...Scott & Tamou gallen all good for the aussies, though Benjis passing game was good, his running OK...kicking poor, farah was good in limited time, Blair went well too

Both the NZ wingers played well I thought and Whare impressed in his first rep game
