Farah/Taylor Thread...

I don't know how saying Farah not playing cost us is blaming Farah?

A proper Dummy half in today's conditions was more important then in a dry game. Jake friend constantly get his forwards on the front foot, kicked well and had 2 try assists.

If Farah plays we're a good chance of winning IMO

I'm more blaming JT for letting the rift effect his team selection.

Im glad u said it. The original post didn't blame farah at all, yet thats what some saw. Strange.

To me the loss today sits firmly on the shoulders of the Farah - Taylor rift. I believeTaylor 'resting' Farah 4 days after origin, when players back up from 5 day turn a rounds all the time, was nothing more then a power play in response to farahs article last week. If it was not then why did woods play?

It would have been ok if Ballin was playing, or Cherrington, Liddle, Drinkwater. But instead JT picked the man of the match from the last 3 weeks in a completely new position. This hurt 2 positions, put our forwards on the back foot and didn't give our halves the room they'd had the last couple of weeks.

I don't know who to blame anymore, but this s*** needs to get sorted ASAP, I mean by the end of the year. I don't care who it is, one of them needs to go. It's obvious they can't work together with this s*** primary school power struggle.

Today's Sunday Telegraph quoted Marina Go as saying that Jason Taylor has been promised to continue as WT throughout 2017 and that nothing would change that decision. So do we expect more of the childish power play between Farah and Taylor until the end of 2017? I don't think the WT powers to be really understand the present and future damage to this club due to the ego centred antics between Farah and Taylor.

Taylor's just been made the scape goat his just to dumb to see it.There is no way neither him or Robbie will be there in 2017.

I think the Farah non selection was actually disciplinary for his article during the week having a go at Taylor again. Will be interesting if he isn't named next week.

I'm calling for Mark O'Neill's head. Didn't some of you carry on about how we have only been winning since the team selections were taken away from Coach Taylor?

Oh, so now we lose, it's back to Taylors fault?

Regardless of who selected the team, Farah would not have made a scrap of difference today!

This is simply delusional. Maybe Robbie would have made a difference. We won't know but maybe he would have.

Taylor also has consistently come up with dud game plans and managed Robbie poorly.

If true that is fair.

Saw craig bellamy interviewed today on how cronk and smith pride themseives on backing up from origin, pretty sure robbie wanted to be out there, and definitly would have been a stronger team with farah starting at 9 and taylor at 13….bad call Jason Taylor, bad call wests tigers, when will you get it right????

Taylor is to blame for this one ,,,going into the game with no dummy half was stupidity…

Resting Farah was fine ..but unless Ballin was very late withdrawal which I doubt Cherrington should have been in the side....Having Elijah play 9 took away everything he has been providing..

Not saying we would have won because there was so many other deficiencies but there would have been a difference..

Farah doesn't even play and it's his fault :crazy

Taylor was dumb enough to say were resting Farah, backfires when Ballin is rubbed out and then we go in and play ET at 9 with Halatau who really should be nowhere near the team. Taylor has been outstanding playing as a ball playing lock.. not a 9\. If Ballin was going to be out, Farah needed to play period.

This along with weak forwards and sloppy play in the wet combined for the loss not this BS taylor and Farah rift. Some people just love trying to blame it on Farah.

I think resting Farah was a sound decision given he was coming off an injury, but he absolutely should have played once Ballin was ruled out. Ridiculous planning, whoever was responsible.
It wasn't the only issue with today's performance, but when you add up all these small factors, you end up with yet another WT loss.

Not playing Farah once Ballin pulled out definitely shows the rift between player and coach.
Pascoe takes the blame for this for not sorting it out last year.
Hopefully buckets sends them both off.

Robbie Farah's future at the Wests Tigers is again up in the air after coach Jason Taylor refused to guarantee he would be recalled next week following the hooker being "rested" for Sunday's loss against the Roosters.
Farah was a notable omission from the Tigers 32-18 loss to the Sydney Roosters at a water-logged Allianz Stadium on Sunday afternoon, given the weekend to recover after Wednesday night's Origin opener at ANZ Stadium considering he also suffered a heavy concussion three weeks ago.
The Tigers have won four of six games without Farah, who was believed to be disappointed with Taylor's decision to rest him on Sunday, winning just one of seven with the Blues rake in the side. Taylor and Farah insist they have put their differences aside after a tumultuous off-season in the headlines, but Taylor's refusal to guarantee the hooker a spot against the Rabbitohs next Friday night has once again cast doubt over their relationship.
"I assume so," Taylor said when asked if Farah would slot straight back into the team.

"We'll look at that. Each week stands on its own. We'll work out exactly what's happening next week with our team."
When pressed on the whether the decision to play Farah would be based on his health or team chemistry, Taylor said: "Both things".
The veteran dummy half was told to pack his bags last year, threatened with the prospect of playing NSW Cup if he didn't walk away from the final two years of his lucrative contract at the club. It's been forgiven but not forgotten from Farah's point of view, and up until this week it seemed as though their working relationship was just fine.
But when back-up hooker Matt Ballin withdrew with a knee injury, and Farah wasn't allowed to play five days after Origin one, questions were asked of Taylor's reasoning behind leaving the NSW No.9 out of the side.
"We just thought it was the right thing right from the start and continued to believe it was the right thing," Taylor said.
"It was really important to have a strong team through the middle of the field there today. Just with what Robbie has been through the last couple of weeks we just thought that was right.
"Elijah's defence and just bringing Josh Aloiai into the middle of our field was a strong way for us to start today and that's what we went with."
Farah has attracted interest from English Super League clubs as recently as last month, but the 32-year-old wants to see out his career a one-club man.
His omission coincided with the return of James Tedesco from a shoulder injury, just in time to press his claims for a NSW jersey for game two.
Tedesco was in the box seat for the No.1 jersey before injuring his shoulder, with his coach adamant he is the best of what Laurie Daley has to choose from.
"It's one that everyone wants to engage in but I don't know what the selectors will do there," Taylor said.
"I know he's the best fullback in NSW but whether they want to pick him or not, it's up to them. He was very impressive. The guys voted him as our players' play in that match. I think that game would have been a lot tougher without him back there the way he handled some of those kicks."

God,

If someone told Me Farah would be at Leeds in a month and Taylor would be at home doing the gardening I would be happy.

Get rid of them both.

Gallagher,

Are you forgetting that Robbie asked for a release in the end and we couldnt afford to pay him out in full

??

Telecrap hasn't missed…

The press deserve to be asking questions.

We play with no hooker in the wet and get spanked.

Taylor has bought this on us again. Self inflicted really.

No. But he'd could have forced farahs hand. If Farah truly believed he was bound for reserve grade he would have left.
But he did nothing. Patted them on the head like bad boys and told them to play nicely together. He's on massive dollars to sort this stuff out.
Tell me you didn't see this day coming Eddie.

For those that are arguing it would be irresponsible to pay another coach out…

It would have been twice as irresponsible to pay 2 mill out to Farah and say goodbye....

Some decide to contradict themselves here.

Thats all i am saying.

The whole thing has been bungled from the start and now Farahs recent comments and Taylor pathetic selection today and press conference have bought it back to the surface.

I think most WT fans would be happy if they both go.
