He's stating the bleeding obvious that nearly every single person would also feel if they were in his situation.

The fact people want to pick at that is a huge contradiction.
 
Kind of rehashing an old story here…yawn...both men may not actually like each other but they both know they have little choice but to work together or move on,Rob bringing it to the surface again reflects poorly on himself if anything.
 
A little late from some of you.
You don't let a player dog your club openly and expect him to just go away quietly.

At least the culture is changing and Farah will be left behind.

Mate, it's one thing to feel it. It's another to thing to go into the media and broadcast it. Potter, Taylor (and probably sheens) have been bigger men. Why isn't Robbie?

In terms of comparisons to the average joe, there is a very big difference to normal organisations - it's that you love your brand. Wests Tigers. I know we all share that here, but most of us can't say that about the company we work at.

The most upsetting thing about Robbie is that he is destroying this thing we all love. That he is supposed to love too. His continued self indulgence at the expense of Wests Tigers being successful is almost akin to an attack on all supporters who follow the club… Let's not forget, a club who has also paid him several millions of dollars over the years from our membership and sponsorship $'s

It's small minded, it's arrogance and it's horrendous leadership. It's not the team, it's him. Taylor now has just cause to send him to nsw cup when he gets back as far as I'm concerned and leave him there for the rest of his contract.
 
Farah has only played a handful of good games since he signed his 4yr contract. The reason why no other club took him up because they valued him at 0.

He is gonna get embarrassed at soo level and this will send him off to England. If I was Taylor I would make him earn his spot back in nsw cup… No offence robbie....Doesn't deserve to start ahead of ballin.

If you believe this then I feel sorry for you. The club was willing to pay him for 2 yrs, they just wanted him out. Players get released every yr to other clubs and still get a portion of their salary paid by their old club. Parra picked up Michael Jennings in January, and the Roosters are still paying him. Manly are paying virtually all of Ballin's contract. Bottom line is, Farah came for free and not one club was interested. There was the Roosters, but the playing group vetoed it. It's a weak excuse to say no one could afford him when players get released every in the same situation.

As I said, I agree that he should've left a while ago, I'm no fan boy of his. But I will defend him against arguments that fail to use any common sense or logic.

So it was JT's fault? Here I was thinking that the decision to retain Farah was made at the high echelons of the club against JT's wishes. No but lets add it to growing list of JT's crimes because Pawsandclaws says its JTs fault.
 
There was the right way and the wrong way to deal with this matter. Paying Farah's contract out in full would have reflected well on the club. If JT wanted rid of Farah he should have ensured the payout! It took Pascoe's arrival to retrieve the situation.

Does retrieve mean bringing back to the same spot? That is what Farah does when he opens his mouth. Does anyone seriously think that JT woke up and decided he was going to move the most senior player in the club on without consulting the CEO and the board?
Even it it was what JT wanted, I am sure he would have had to explain the reasoning to his bosses & get their support before moving ahead. He was then hung out to dry when Robbie went to his media contacts and no other NRL club wanted a bar of an ageing player who thinks ccoaches should be hired and fired based on his view.

When clubs want a player they are able to find room in the Cap. Jennings, Grant, Taylor, Copely, Roberts, Peats, Hurrell etc.
When they don't want a bar of the player, the cap is a handy excuse (Robbie, Tony Williams)

The club was always willing to payout the difference between what it was required to pay and what Farah got elsewhere.

The club couldn't afford to pay $2million to a player who would then go pick up another $800K (over two years) for playing elsewhere.

Thank god you're not running the club.

BTW do you think to payout a player $2m is a coach's decision. Thats a board decision. Again stop trying to find things to blame JT for. He deserves criticism but not for this.

He was always going to get every cent of his money one way or the other and nobody could have done anything about that. Paying him out in full then and there would have been idiotic, and not even possible as it would have crammed 2 years of his exorbitant salary into one. He needed to be shipped off onto another contract if he was to be moved along. I'm not exactly sure what your "right" way involves.
 
He didn't go to the media. The media went to him.

I understand the view, i just think too much is being read into it.
 
Bottom line this started 2 coaches back ..there was a systemic problem here not just with the present coach many should wake up and see things for what they REALLY are .The present coach wanted to move the problem on and had the courage to do it ,I give him credit for it ,whether JT continues as coach into the future I will always give him credit for trying to tackle the biggest issue this team has had for many seasons and bring a new culture and players into the club that do have that culture already in them.
