Hearing that the Tiger Sharks have NO interest in Farah!

Also hearing that the Tiger sharks secured Cherrington for 1 year at $80k…wow what a bargain...

Flanno was foxing in the paper. They'll take Cherrington.

Cronulla today at 2pm have a recruitment and retainments meeting so you will know after that if Cronulla want him

Same deal as Israel Folau. Parra said they'd sign him for $150k but the NRL refused to allow someone like that to take up so little cap space.

I'm sure many clubs would jump at the chance to have Farah if he were only going to take up <200k of their cap. Sadly, that can't happen.

Did Eddie Hayson tell Phil Rothfield that?

Haha, fair enough mate. I was referring to the Sydney Morning Herald article about a prominent Sydney sports "journalist" being on the take.

That's cool

But as always there are so many rumours

from the SMH

"Robbie's a great player and he has been for a long time and he will always be a great player," Farah's State of Origin teammate Wade Graham said. "But it's not something I think about. You can ask Flanno [coach Shane Flanagan] all those questions, it's for him and management."

Graham's good mate and fellow NSW star Jack Bird was a little more forthcoming with his assessment of the out-of-favour Tigers rake.

"I think if he came here he'd be a good asset and a bit like Mickey [Ennis] I think," Bird said. "As long as Robbie comes in and plays to our game plan and sticks to what we do, I think he would be a real asset to our team.

"He is a great player and there is no doubt that we would welcome him if he came here, but that's not up to me. That's up to Flanno and the coaching staff. If they go that way they go that way and I'd be happy to have Robbie here."

The Sharks are reportedly circling Farah's Tigers teammate Manaia Cherrington instead and have utility Nu Brown an option. Australian Schoolboys brothers Jayden and Blayke Brailey are on the books in their National Youth Competition side.

"and plays our game plan"
Looks like everyone knows Robbie plays Robbie's game.

SMH Article.
Tigers to fit at least $600,000 of Farahs next year Salary.
interestingly first time I've heard it been quoted from ET about wanting to stay.
The chances of Robbie Farah switching to St George Illawarra will increase if the club retains Benji Marshall beyond this season.
The Dragons have expressed interest in Farah, who is languishing in reserve grade after his much-publicised spat with Wests Tigers coach Jason Taylor. Farah is on $950,000 for next season and the Tigers are desperate to get him off their books, with the other joint-venture outfit emerging as his most likely destination.

The Red V is struggling to attract marquee talent, with Parramatta playmaker Corey Norman poised to reject their rich offer to extend his stay at the Eels. The Dragons have also missed out on Rabbitoh Luke Keary and Cowboy Lachlan Coote, while Newcastle's Trent Hodkinson is also likely to stay put.

With few options available on the open market, the Dragons will need to consider keeping Marshall, who is off contract at the end of the season. The veteran half played strongly on Friday night but was unable to orchestrate a boilover against Canterbury.

Marshall and Farah spent more than a decade together at the Tigers, sharing the highs and lows that included an inaugural premiership and Marshall's premature departure.

While they are no longer at the same club, they are still close. When the veteran No.9 was dumped to reserve grade last weekend, Marshall was one of the former Tigers teammates sitting on the Leichhardt Oval hill in support. It is understood the pair still speak regularly and would welcome the prospect of being reunited at the other joint-venture club.

The Dragons have been negotiating with the management of current hooker Mitch Rein for most of the year. However, the sticking point is Rein's asking price, with the off-contract rake required to take a significant pay cut to remain a one-club man.

Dragons powerbrokers feel that, if they are to retain their current halves pairing of Marshall and skipper Gareth Widdop, that a change will be required to the spine to spark their spluttering attack.

If the Tigers are prepared to cover a large percentage of Farah's wage, the Red V may be able to pick him up at a similar price to what Rein is demanding.

Farah was scheduled to run out again in reserve grade against Mounties at Campbelltown on Saturday, but pulled out with a calf injury. It is increasingly unlikely the 32-year-old will be recalled to the top grade this year as the stand-off with Taylor continues.

While Farah is entitled to see out the remaining year of his contract, the prospect of playing an entire season in reserve grade, should Taylor remain in charge, is an unappealing one.

Cronulla have emerged as a potential destination following Michael Ennis' shock retirement announcement, although the club is well stocked for hookers after poaching Manaia Cherrington from the Tigers for next year.

The Dragons first expressed interest in Farah last August when he was first threatened with the prospect of languishing in the NSW Cup. There is a renewed interest from both parties now that Taylor has made good on the threat.

Tigers officials considered sanctioning Farah for his post-game criticism of Taylor last weekend. While powerbrokers will likely ask him to be more circumspect, they figure a penalty will only further inflame tensions.

The Tigers have little salary cap room for next season but are hoping to extend the stay of former Kiwi international Elijah Taylor.

"I'm really hoping to stay," Taylor said. "I've learned a lot, made some good friendships.

"I'm used to the place now, used to the players, used to the coach. Hopefully we can sort something out.

"It's moving in the right direction."

I was speaking to a Dragons fan a week ago who was adamant Farah would be there next year.

But I don't know he may just have been a dribbler

I have quite a few dragons fan mates…. I'm praying this occurs.... They aren't happy now... This will be salt in the wounds

Most important of all, I want to meet the couple who came up with Jayden and Blayke as names for their sons. When I say "want to" of course I mean "hope I never" but you get what I mean…

Hahahahaaa :roll

This must be a misquote.

Must also be a misquote from Dean Halatau when he said this morning " yes, the team is going well, the coach is great, is very calm and knows what he wants from the team. Tends to like attacking football, but has worked on our defence as well"

You just can't trust your own ears.

One of my best mates follows saints and absolutely loathes Farah , calls him greedy guts. (I hope that didn't offend anyone?)
He didn't like marshal either, this would push him over the edge. Haha
