Farah to SOUTH SYDNEY in 2017..OFFICIAL..

I would say he will be at the Tigers next year , I don't think anything will change , he is stubborn and we don't have money to get rid of him and the NRL will want him on about $ 400 k contract at his new club , Newcastle should be an option after there effort on the weekend , they need a massive clean out and he could go around for 1 year at least

only real options are STGI, Cronulla, Parra or Newcastle.
I think Farah goes with Hayne if he returns likely Parra. Let's hope the NRL allow him to go for say 300k or so.

"I'm really hoping to stay," Taylor said. "I've learned a lot, made some good friendships.

"I'm used to the place now, used to the players, used to the coach. Hopefully we can sort something out.

"It's moving in the right direction."

This must be a misquote.

He sounds like he likes the set-up here. Good to hear.

This must be a misquote.

Must also be a misquote from Dean Halatau when he said this morning " yes, the team is going well, the coach is great, is very calm and knows what he wants from the team. Tends to like attacking football, but has worked on our defence as well"

You just can't trust your own ears.

:righton:

This has to be a misquote unless JT has changed his approach. Some on here won't be happy with this.

I reckon Robbie and JT will be here next year. Can you imagine another season of this drama.

Farah wants to stay at the club, loyal and loves the joint, only problem is he thinks he runs the joint which is not good and the coach can't stand him for obvious reasons

Just hope this doesn't end up a Mick Potter saga once again

It won't be because the board is backing the coach this time.

I reckon this is wrong but in some ways I hope they stick to it. The sooner this is over the better.

You hope the statement is wrong, or you hope they aren't backing the coach?

I reckon the way it is been handled is wrong but I hope they back the coach. I just want this drama to be over.

It's a poor end to a career and I don't blame Robbie. I think the club should have backed Potter when he said don't sign Robbie on a 4 year top dollar contract.

Wests Tigers have already begun planning for life after Robbie Farah by identifying Daniel Mortimer as one of the men to help fill the void should the NSW hooker depart at the end of the season.

Farah has again been named in reserve grade for what would have been his 250th first-grade game for the club at Leichhardt Oval had he not been axed a fortnight ago. The Tigers have maintained that Farah, who pulled out of last weekend's Intrust Super Premiership clash against Mounties with a calf complaint, will be considered for NRL selection on a game-by-game basis. Although Farah has some experience playing in the halves, not even a knee injury to Luke Brooks is enough to prompt a recall into a new-look Tigers spine.

Jack Littlejohn will wear the No.7 jersey in the absence of Brooks in the only change to the side that defeated Parramatta. Littlejohn, who joined the Tigers from Manly in the off-season, made his only other appearance for the club when filling in for the suspended Brooks in the round one victory over the Warriors.

Farah's latest snubbing is a further pointer to how far he is on the outer with coach Jason Taylor and it appears he has almost certainly played his last NRL game for the black, white and gold. The veteran rake has another year to run on a contract worth about $950,000 next season and has indicated he intends to see it out. However, the prospect of playing an entire season in reserve grade is unlikely to hold much appeal, particularly if a deal can be done with another club.

The Tigers will lose promising hooker Manaia Cherrington to Cronulla at season's end and there is doubt about whether Matt Ballin will sufficiently recover from another serious knee injury to play on next year. With hooker Dene Halatau retiring at the end of the season, the club is keen to bolster their depth in the position. Officials have identified utility Mortimer as a handy back-up, but will only have the funds to make an offer if Farah moves on.

Mortimer, ruled out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury, has agreed to join English club Hull KR. But it's understood he has a get-out clause should an NRL opportunity arise.

Mortimer has made 126 first-grade appearances, steering Parramatta to the 2009 grand final in his rookie season before embarking on stints at the Roosters and Titans. The 27-year-old is one of the game's most versatile players and can cover hooker or the halves.

St George Illawarra shapes as Farah's most likely destination should he part company with the joint-venture outfit. The Dragons have failed to come to terms on an extension with their current hooker, Mitch Rein, and have been in talks with Farah about joining the Red V. A potential drawing card is the presence of long-time friend and teammate Benji Marshall, but he, too, is off contract and his future is uncertain.

I am hearing Farah has signed with souths for 2 years. Should be official before end of the week.

Jeez, aren't those poor Souths fans doing it tough enough already? I told one of them this afternoon that they needed Farah, they laughed and said that they also needed more drama and the coach sacked

It will be interesting to see the reaction from his new clubs fans.

I reckon he would be a good fit for Souths. They need a little creativity.

Souths need a huge injection of speed, flair and youth. I am not sure Robbie offers them any of those things except maybe some flair. Although a new home will be good for Farah and should be good for the Weststigers as long as Souths are paying a fair chunk of his contract

Dragons makes more sense. Rein seems on the outer and their halves need help. It'd be a weird move for Souths…
