I'd like to see this Thread locked now that Farah has permanently left the room….time to move on

Why would they stop it now,we had to endure pages of the Farah brigade telling us what a legend and great he was….time to tell some home truths about how egotistical and how bigger than the club he was...glad he is gone and hope he finds what he is looking for at the Rabbits....wouldn't be much I'd say if Russ wasn't there....

smart signing by souths. they got a nsw hooker for 250 thousand a year. a bargain. we have plodders in our team on more than that. best of all he can play against us next year. another smart move by management

15 Clubs had a chance to buy the NSW Origin hooker for $250k, why'd it take so long for somebody to actually get him. You'd think he would've been snapped up a lot quicker wouldn't you?

That is only being nasty and inaccurate. Robbie stated he wanted to stay in Sydney - so that eliminates 6 clubs at a guess. He also wanted a club with a chance to win a GF so that eliminates many more clubs. Then it comes down to which remaining clubs are already contracted with hookers for the following year?
Then again which remaining clubs prefer to stick with someone they are already developing/developed due to continuity of strategy and to retain loyalty of other players. That they will not just be dropped at drop of hat.

So there is a multitude of reasons - just like choosing a wife, you don't drop a solid one because someone else has come onto the market.

Or it could be that 14 other NRL clubs didn't want him - just saying!

Or could it be that not every club was in the market for a hooker - you know salary cap and all, but let's not let reality get in the way of blind hatred.

Good luck to him. I'm glad he has moved on and I am not petty enough to do anything other than wish him the best.

Well said CB. Pity all the 2 year olds on here couldn't just do the same.

well there are 16 teams to begin with, there are 8 teams (including Penrith) outside of Sydney, that leaves 8 left, minus WT that leaves 7 teams.
There are only 2 teams Sydney-based teams ahead of us on the ladder, Sharks and Bulldogs. (in the finals as well) so they are eligible. The Sharks have Ennis probably on contract so they are definitely out. That leaves one team above us, the Bulldogs. The Sydney-based teams immediately below WT are Dragons and then Rabbitohs. Though the Dragons finished above Rabbitohs I consider from the game against WT recently that the Dragons are hopeless to win a GF next year. So that only leaves Souths and Bulldogs with a chance of making the GF. And he scored a posi at the team that only a few short years ago won the GF and they still have most of their top players. The other team the Sharks are yet to win a GF.

So taking everything into consideration Farah got the best option based on conditions he stated 12 months ago.

i wonder who the JT fan boys will blame next year, it would be nice to see him own up to his own incompetence but we all know that wont happen

I'm glad that's over with. I won't miss the dramas that always seemed to surround RF. Still, all the best for him at Souths.

All the best Robbie you are and always will be a legend for the Tigers. I believe you have a much better chance at winning a comp in the two years with Souths.

X2

You reckon…Souffs finished behind us on the ladder and are a team going backwards...whereas we are a team on the up!..

It didn't appear that way in the last few rounds of the season.

I agree, time to move on and give our young players the chance to shine and be applauded.
