Farah vs the critics

Farah showed his best and worst last night. His kicking game was great & he could well have won the game with the short pass to Morris. The grubber save was fantastic.

On the other side, some wonky passes from dummy-half and although he tried hard in defence, he was obviously targetted for his lack of venom.

As A NSW supporter, I hope he gets dropped for Peats. As a Tigers supporter, I hope he gets dropped for anyone, so he seriously considers season-end retirement. That's not a pot-shot. He's still our best hooker, but obviously on the decline and a salary cap gobbler.

To be fair ideally he would leave at the end of this season simply because he is costing us way too much money.

I can't see though Peats being at Robbie's level.

Whilst i agree i disagree at the same time
We all know he is always heavily involved in the defensive effort.
He wasnt any softer or less effective than before, difference was QLD run Hard and bend the line.
We sadly couldnt hit and stick for the full 80

Those blaming Robbie have no idea and are pushing an agenda. You want to blame someone, blame your forwards as a collective.

You had the bigger pack
You had the younger pack
You had the more aggressive pack
You had the better bench
….and you did not win the ruck.

Yes absolutely correct Stryker, however you guys did have the extra 2….the refs...according to the media....that always helps....in having said that Qld did hold out a determined NSW side and overall it was a game that could have gone either way in the last 15 minutes...

If only if they chose NRL standard players who know how to play for 80 mins not 15..

What's he up to now? 8 games for 7 losses.
He's a passenger.

Get off it !!
No need for that sort of stats to be paraded

Dont we have someone else we can pick on so we can spare a WT player

Those sort of stats also would be the same or similar for a lot of players. Farah is one who except for One game has been up with the best, and still was last night.

Absolutely right.

Good game, but I agree he is not the player he was. I think he deserves to finish the S.O.O series this year, especially as Ennis is the only other real option. However, if I was Daley i'd be be picking a substitute for him. He needs a rest and someone to interchange with. I wouldn't pick another hooker, but a utility that can fill in for 15 minutes either side of half time. Dylan Walkers spot was a waste anyway.
When Bird didn't start I thought they might interchange him with Farah. Bird could do the job or someone like Bryce Cartright maybe.

Same with the Tigers. He needs to share the role with Ballin and leave at the end of the year. I'd be ok with another year of Farah/Ballin if he wasn't on so much money as Cherrington and Liddle aren't quite ready.

You are right, i could be biased but i think he got us more return sets than the halves combine

Spot on.

The agenda is a personal vendetta against him - and not his football.
He's damned if he does and he's damned if he doesn't. The haters are already saying 52 tackles are 52 times the QLDers targeting him because they 'know' he'll be driven back. LOL.
….Just on that, I wonder how Nathan Peats would handle 52 tackles against a representative pack being the same size as Farah?

It's a long time since I've been a Robbie fan but I thought he went well last night, very good kicking game and service.

We were a bit of a rabble in attack but I think the halves need to shoulder a lot of the blame. And no one wanting to run hard in attack a lot of the time.

I actually thought the forwards had the slight upper hand for most of the first half, we just couldn't convert that.

The name of the thread says it all really

Farah v the critics.

Even when he is decent thy will throw their barbs in.

Imagine one of his kicks went dead.

or he dropped the ball like Josh Morris or he missed a average difficult goal kick that meant losing the game?

I think the teams were evenly matched and the crook ref decisions at the beginning meant the difference and win for Qld.

He's clearly not the attacking threat he was. He defended well as always and you can never question his commitment. I thought his dummy half service was rusty in the opening 20 minutes but improved as the game went on.

Heading into Game 1 tonight, I am eagerly hoping Farah will silence every critic with a strong performance.

He has been mocked, laughed at, insulted and continually told that he should not be in the side, even though every time he puts on the blue jersey he's one of the better players who actually shows heart.

To watch the Matty Johns show with their smug, bigoted and borderline racist humour, I am only wishing by next Monday night they have pie on their face with Ennis mopping the floor afterward.

Man of the match: Farah with 66 tackles, 2 try assists, a 40/20 and a game winning try.

No one is criticizing Robbies'commitment to SOO.

One could question his commitment to Wests Tigers.

Don't forget he is not able to forget what happened with the coach (JT) (apparently) so that could cloud his commitment to the way his plays for us (his club) :bash

In RLW the mole reporting Farah to take up 2 or 3 year deal with Leeds, and a farewell at Leichhardt for round 26, if so thanks for the memories Robbie, and enjoy your stay with the big sauce at Leeds.

I really think that would be the best outcome for all concerned. Ballin to start next year with Liddle being eased in.
