Farah worth $900k?

No he's not - but as others have said, he was no doubt worth keeping and back-loaded contracts fuel this type of argument especially for older players. Last night was not his best game, back to taking wrong options etc but it would be fair bet to say he helped the team mentally and that can't be underestimated for a young side.

But my concerns are not last night or this year - they are the next couple. He is not going to get any better yet Cherrington certainly will. I don't want to lose Mania but the reduction of interchange is not going to help his NRL game time with us.

Not sure how they and the club will handle it all… or if Robbie will actually see out his contract.

No he is not but that's not his fault ..Cherrington is another full season away from a starting NRL spot IMO , so Farah has at least another season at the Tigers .Would not be surprised if he will be elsewhere 2017 as Cherrington will be ready and Farah will be on older legs,I hope his decision making improves quickly as many of these of late are bad.

He wasn't at his best. Am assuming a hangover from SOO. Hopefully a decent break over the offseason and he's back to Captain Tackle in no time.

He has already had his break. Lol

God I hope mania is happy to be a bench player/fill in origin for the next 2 years. I know he was only on for like 15-20 minutes but we look so good when he's there. The passing for the try just before halftime was started by him, I remember when Farah used to do that…

Doubt he would have played much more than ten minutes, five or so each side of halftime.

Farah is worth the contract as we can't attract any top flight players anyway. He is no Inglis/Thurston however, he will be an issue in 2017.

He's also playing with a busted hand and a fully separated shoulder. It's astonishing that he's on the field, let alone contributing. Oh, and he's the club's longest serving player and at the very, very least its second best player ever. They say there's no loyalty left in the game and some people on here are evidence in favour of that claim.

Farah is important In the transition period between old and new. When Farah came off the moment wasn't lost on me when Cherrington immediately darted out of dummy half to link with Moses for the Naiquama try. Just a glimpse of the future and also a touch of nostalgia at the prospect of Farah's time now growing short. Enjoy it while you can because he has been one of our best.

He made a big difference to the team last night, yes he did take a couple of bad options but during the majority of the game he provided important leadership and could be seen taking up his team mates and directing plays. His defence goes without saying. Whether he is worth $900 well if he is subject to the now famous back ended contract then I would say yes because he is being paid this year for efforts in the past when he should have been paid full freight.

I agree. It's hard to put dollar value on leadership and experience. He is by far our most experienced player in a team that is generally acknowledged as lacking experience. He made a big difference against the Storm, especially as we went down 10 nil at the outset.

Also without Farah we wouldn't have Tedesco and that on top of his playing, leadership and experience make him worth a wack of ch. 900K prob not this year and my issue is he would be if he didn't play Origin but playing Origin he isn'

Regardless of the reported size of their pay packets, Farah and Lawrence provide the passion for the club which is missing from most of the other players, it can't be bought, so for that reason they must be kept
