i agree ink. no one doubts his passion or attitude towards the club, but really potter has to pull him aside and tell him to let everyone do their job for the team.

i know he is the captain and must feel like he has to do it all but really, as stryker says, his place is at dummy half, not usurping the halves in their roles - it is counter productive not only to the team structure, but is not fair on the halves and stops them from doing what they are there to do.

the only way the team is going to improve on sundays performance is for him to show faith in his team mates and let them come into their own as players. at the moment he is stifling them.

he needs to have a bit of patience and let brooks come into his own.

Its a sad state of affairs when another club legend is attacked on a "fan" forum when we lose. Especially when said player tries his guts out to get the result for us.

The bloke did not have a run all last week due to illness and he was noticeably a few steps short of full fitness. That said, he produced over 40 tackles and scored a try on a hot day when most seemed to give up. He loves this club and almost has to crawl off the field after every game.

I agree that he needs to simplify his game….KISS should be his mantra. However he has a teenage half who got lost on the weekend and needed a hand. The player who should have stepped in was Anasta. He failed to and as the great clubman Rob is, he tried to fill the breach. It did not work this time around. To say he is hampering Brooksey's development is a lie. Brooks has played 2 top level games. He needs a hand, he needs guidance. He will come good but that time is still way off.

Farah is probably overplaying his hand, but someone has to.

This thread is making me feel horribly uncomfortable. Robbie has been the heart of the team for so long. Gone close to Daly M
twice. Carried the team through some tricky times. Been my fave player. BUT, the whole aura of the FG team needs to change with our strong group of young players coming through. This will be the year he stands up as the senior team leader, or the selfish 'me' player. Hope he proves to be the champion I believe he is.

i really hope he becomes a great leader, which means being the best for the team, which means a slight change of thought process on the field imo.

i still remember (a couple of seasons ago?) reading the article about him having "SOO" written on his wrist taping and have to say it really annoyed me. maybe a small thing, but in my view, having such a personal goal/reminder in plain sight of his teammates during a tigers game was very selfish.

tbh, i dont know where it first came from, but in the past i have thought of farah as holding state of origin and trying to prove he is the best hooker well above the fortunes of the team he is captain of. i also always roll my eyes at his all too often darts from dummy half to try to score himself.

may be a harsh assessment, and i dont know him, so it is very possible i am completely wrong.

in short, i do really hope he plays well for the team and does show himself to be a great leader rather than the "me" player this season, but in my opinion his historical/current tack needs to change a little.

I agree, turnstyle. More of the same from Robbie won't be good enough to make the team more competitive. But, he is such a classy player that it's not a huge leap in strategy and performance that's required. He's smart and courageous and I am glad he's with us and not another team.
