Moving on from a 30yo Corey Thompson is very smart roster management. The backlash from the fans across all social medias is ridiculous.

Cant wait to see everyone come around to Maguire some day soon. The guy is doing some smart work and putting us back where we should be not only on the field but also as far as roster building and cultural changes go.

I think a bit of backlash is warranted. If our roster-building and cultural changes encourage getting rid of a bloke who busts his gut every week to accommodate uninterested, unmotivated, uninspiring players such as Jennings and Mbye: then questions will be asked as to just what our "core values" and other club BS spin really are?
Thanks for your efforts Thommo, you were always fun to watch and your wholehearted gutsy displays were much appreciated. Good luck in your new venture, loved watching you play for our Tigers👍.

I think the Reason people are a little upset with the release of Corey is because of the Efforts he has always put in on the Field
He has never let anyone down
He always gave 110%
He was very liked by his peers and supporters
He was truly a bright light of our club
Then we have players like Packer, McQueen, Jennings and Reynolds to a lesser extent that we seem to be stuck with and many of us would prefer that these players find another home 1st

For those giving it to Madge, how do you know that Corey hasn't been asking for a release for weeks and for Family reasons
This rumour has been going around since before we played the Titans
Corey was contracted to the Tigers till the end of 2020 and was offered a longer deal that appealed to him from the Titans
Way is that Madges fault.

But we need a clean out and we need to start somewhere

Then we’ve also have to watch the likes of Tapau, Papenhyuzen, Brown, Fifita and last season even Sironen tearing it up! I really hate it.

Matterson is as big a sook as MMoses. He will never have the heart or morals that Thompson has.

He was probably the Cleary signing that had the least expectation but ended up being the best. If he was over 6ft he would have been a great winger.

What he lacked in height he made up with courage and determination. His enthusiasm and determination was so great that it appeared at times he carried those qualities alone. A real pocket rocket. If only he had a passing game, would make a great 7 or 6. Good luck Corey!
