Farrah as coach

Robbie's an enigma. He is an intelligent guy within a sport that doesn't boast too many guys of his intelligence.

And, being articulate and intelligent will set you on a path to getting (C) against your name. More importantly though, he's a helluva player. For that alone, he deserves to have (C) against his name.

But, it's a team sport. Leadership is defined by more than intelligence. It's the capacity to have an opinion based on your intelligence and insights, but to work out whether expressing it is "worth it" for the good of the team.

In this sport, actions speak louder than words. Robbie seems to have a sense of entitlement, based as much on the differences he has, more than the commonalities he has with the rest of the team.

In many ways he seems a troubled soul. He seems to understand what he can do to garner a more positive image of himself as a "team" leader, but torn between the preparedness to do it or not, based on some sense of entitlement that he has yet to feel from the game.

I see him going into media once he retires

Not sure about him being a coach , if he does I see him being much like Bellamy or Toovey

I reckon he could peel paint of the walls at the drop of a hat

Robbie is an exceptional captain/leader **until something like the current situation arises** and his emotions get the better of him. With that in mind i don't think a coaching position is the best thing for him otherwise we could see a reincarnate of his good mate Ricky Stuart (God forbid). He does however have a good mind for business, the required qualifications and great footy sense which would hopefully allow him to become our CEO one day (ala matt gidley at Newcastle)

You mean, when the going gets tough?
Thats when REAL leaders come to the fore, thrive and excel.

No. I mean when he lets anger and frustration get the better of him. Can you imagine giving your heart and soul to an organisation and then being left out to dry without that same organisation having your back.. he wears his heart on his sleeve and that consequently hinders his captaining ability whilst during other situations makes him an awesome leader (on the field). It's funny how one situation can change one's perception of an entire individual. The same people praising our captain and leader in other more positive threads earlier in the season whilst crucifying him in more recent ones. Soft.

Im pretty sure its potter whos "given his heart an soul to the organisation and been left out to dry without the same organization having his back".And from all reports the "weasel" sounds like robbie and his manager Sam Ayoub who backed Tallis into a corner accusing him of chinese whispers. How are we supposed to flourish when we have a captain acting like a weasel.

Farrah as coach???

Hmmm

I dont see how the clubs hung him out to dry.
If theyve hung anyone out its Potter
Robbie & his manager got themselves into this mess…Robbie knows where he'll be for the next three years...Potter hasnt got 3 months

This is the thing that upsets me the most. I am disgusted with the way this club (board/players/coaching staff,) have acted throughout this whole sorry affair.

We've ruined Potter's reputation as he's just to eke out his way as an NRL quality coach. He's taken a team of kids with raw talent to within farting distance of the eight thus far and is still in contention to make it when everyone slated us at finishing 15th or 16th this year. He signed with us at bottom dollar and all this club has done is push the knife deeper in with every opportunity presented to them.

He's carried himself through this whole saga with the utmost decorum when he'd be well within his right to defend his honour and put this club to the sword in the media. Funny thing will be is this guy will hold all the aces come seasons end and he while he won't see the fruits of his labour here, he will land a contract elsewhere and probably earn three times more with an established squad.

Treated no worse than any other coach that has been ousted by clubs in the NRL. Anthony Griffin, Rick Stone, Neil Henry, Steve Price, Ivan Henjak Steven Kearney Jason Taylor the list goes on and on and they were all dumped due to factions with in their clubs, or because they lost the support of the playing group and in doing so suffered through weeks of rumours and innuendo. Its a cut throat business and coaches seem to be given less time currently to reach any level of success. We cant afford to screw this up so I understand fully why the club is not convinced about Potter - and I have no clue how he manages the players, or how he reads the game, like the people who are making the decisions at the club are privy to. Signing him for another two years is risky for a club that has a history of not being able to draw or afford elite players, and while he has a level of support from fans at the moment, this forum is evidence enough to show how quickly fans can turn on their own when things go pear shaped - ask R Farah.

^Good posts. Are Farah's latest actions (missing training due to emotional upheaval) designed to deflect attention from the real laundry on the line? Potter is the one still hanging out to dry. Farah has the power to stop this.

No one has been treated worse than mick potter in this situaton and it couldn't have happened to a more undeserving bloke. BUT Robbie has also been used and abused by the board in order to drive their agenda and sack mick potter whilst under mining robbie farah and his reputation.

So if this is true then whyyyyy the bloody hell is everyone hammering our captain and a life time member of the club whilst defending a coach who hasn't even been apart of the club for two years?

Thats all i want to bloody know ??

While I cant speak for others Tony
But All Ive been saying is I want our leader, our captain, to lead…get back to bloody training and get the hell on with trying to make the semis.

Too much to ask is it>?

I just want Farah to say, I want Mick here, and so do the rest of the boys. Lets re-sign and continue on the upward trajectory that we've got ourselves on. If we stand together, then there's no reason why we can't be strong leading into the final rounds. But, whether we make the 8 or not, great things can come in the coming years if we stick together.
Of course, I've got more chance of Sh***ing in the Queens handbag than that happening.

Farah and his manager Ayoub have no one to blame but themselves. They accused tallis of "chinese whispers"(I dont see a chinaman within 200 miles of this dispute,  ) perhaps with Farah and Ayoub having there greasy hands all over this we can call it a simple case of "Lebanese weasels".
