I think its good. I think we can do better than what people are predicting. I never watch the footy show though and I don't intend to start anytime soon.

Fatty does himself no favours when he disrespects teams for the sake of getting some laughs.
Very 'unclassy' of him to do that.
As alluded to earlier though, having good performances will quieten the critics!

He does know his footy however and there is some truth behind his words but at least give these teams a chance to show what they have got before ridiculing them. I honestly think that if they didn't have Brohman and Ryan to add some variety, that show would have been wrapped up some years ago. Its called the Footy show but the first time they started talking about the footy on Thursday was after 11pm, when that comment was made. It is very very different from the AFL Footy Show where they constantly talk about football, make serious predictions about games and discuss the issues surrounding the game.

Results are obviously important in footy, but the NRL is also entertainment. If we only concern ourselves with the eventual winner then 90% of the season becomes meaningless or valueless.
A lot of people elsewhere are foolishly saying that in the Tigers v Dragons game that rugby league will be the loser. That is complete rubbish.
From an entertainment perspective this should be one of the best games of the round in that both teams are evenly matched going in to it, and both have the capacity to play some entertaining contests.
The Brooks debut game came at a point where both these teams were out of the running, and yet it was one of the more interesting games for the neutral in the back end of the season.

As someone who is paid to talk up their entertainment product, Fatty Vautin really lets them down with his ignorance. Channel 9 have more problems than Fatty Vautin of course, they seriously have to consider finding new talent for their NRL broadcasts. Ray Warren's senility is one such example.
