Favorite Pubs in Balmain/ Leichhardt

I love Sunday arvo footy at Leichhardt oval. To make the day even better is going to a Balmain pub.
For mine, you can't beat sitting on the veranda of The London or inside at the Unity Hall.
The Exchange and Dicks hotel are pretty good and 20 meters from each other.
The Riverview does a good Lemon,Lime and Bitters for Milky.
… the Orange Grove has a good TAB and is very close to the oval.

There are countless others... but this is my pick.

The Dicks is a good one indeed. A big fan of the East Village too, though that's much closer to East Balmain wharf, so a fair distance from the ground. Easy cab ride though.

My old local was the Sir William Wallace, a great old fashion pub, Big Kerry Hemsley use to drop in for the odd Schooner, but Iam sure in his hey days he did the rounds of all the pubs.
Anyway great pub, but a very long hike to Lords of Leichhardt (spiritual home of the NRL) .

ps–Farah was outside the Town Hall pub yesterday, arm was not in a sling and he was moving both arms freely

Time for Milky to become a man

Give him the hard stuff and a dash of concrete ,he'll be right

Royal Hotel Norton Street Leichhardt is a very good pre match venue, they actually run a shuttle bus to the end of Norton Str and its only a hop skip and a jump to the ground from there. Always lots of pre match atmosphere and food and beer very good

The refurbishment of the pub at the bottom of norton st… It's now pj gallaghers.

Great atmosphere, and scenery, good place to start your pub crawl, stopping along the way up norton st.
