Favourite Campbelltown Stadium Moment

Kevin's McGuinness' comeback game after his drug suspension.
A come from behind win that night.

Benji Marshall's debut, only for the fact there was a sign saying something like "Who is Benji Marshall".. I'm sure by now they know who he is.

The 09 comeback win over Newcastle when were were 24-10 down and got home 26-24\. And the massive comeback in 2001 against Newcastle. That was a special night, very cold, not a big crowd but there was some noise in the stadium in the last 20 minutes.

TP- 1988 - Last game of the year vs Manly, who had to win to make the finals, magpies down the bottom as usual. The coach dusted off the old fibros vs silvertails story and they played like men posessed. Graham McKay scoring a long range try, also Danny Peacock running through the guts. Managed to hang on with a dubious late try. Funniest thing was a guy yelling out "kick him in the guts" all game. Dale Shearer was coming back from a broken jaw - also kept calling out "break his jaw!!" every time he got the ball. Classic.

If memory serves me correctly TP, Bob Fulton was the Manly coach at the time, if so, I was also at that game and the word got around after the game about how quickly Fulton bolted from Campbelltown Stadium after the loss, Manly was shattered and we were all smiles (well a bit louder than smiles)…

- Andrew Willis Field Goal
- First WT game v Brisbane
- Thrashing the Warriors in 2010

- last game home game in 1996 v steelers in the worst conditions I've ever seen at a footy match. I remember a kick off that went 25m forward and was then blown back over halfway. I'll never forget it.

My favourite Campbelltown moment was Rnd 18 2010 against the Titans when Benji kicked the amazing 50.5 metre field goal just on half time. Also that same night when Robbie Farah and Nathan Friend started a fight in the scrum. :sign:

I do not remember what year it was, (it was a long time ago). We had a pommy player, playing for us in the reserve grade.

He would have won the most yards/metres covered that day. He received the ball in the middle of the field, ran across to the sideline, turned and ran across to the other sideline, (people trying to tackle him all the time), then he ran back to the other sideline and back to the centre before he was tackled.

I guess he ran about 225 yards across and back, and about no yards forward. Great memory.

Well that rules out Harvey Howard

Might lose reputation points because I don't have any memorable moments that are positive…...have only been three times tho and Tiger only won one game, against Penrith in a game no-one deserved to win.

Thanks for reminding me (suffering craft at the moment) TD I was also at that game and Benji's kick was outstanding.

Sitting on the halfway line on the eastern side in 2007 when Tuiaki swatted half of the Sharks side in possibly the most destructive run I've ever seen from a player. The Tigers were flat and playing rubbish and then from out of nowhere TNT exploded.

andrew willis's field goal.It was the coldest monday night ever- you had to be an eskimo just to be there.

and dare i say,the look on jason Taylor's face at the end.

Priceless stuff.

All of the above, well most of them.
Reading these posts gives me goose- bumps.

Hey Phantom… at least you can LEAVE Campbelltown staduim. (Just thought I would bite) :roll

On a similar vein myself and a friend were right on the Western 15m mark on the family hill.

Tuiaki ran over Prince and he was on the ground looking like he had been hit by a small truck. He gets up woozy, the fellow against the fence four or five people down looks straight at Scotty, yells YEAH BRAAAA, Scotty drops his head, we all laugh

Bit obscure, but the Round 14 clash, 2005, against the Sharks. It was a Friday Night game, we ended up beating them 36-18, something like that, with Marshal, Ritchards and Hodgeson all getting doubles.

I don't know why, but it was the first time I felt we were an awesome team. I've loved the Tigers since I was a baby following Balmain, but being born in 1990, I've never seen them really experience any widespread success. I think the following week we got pumped by the Bronco's and then went had that amazing 8-game winning streak which got us into the top 4.

Anyway, great memories from that night.

It was very much a night where it all came together and we could start to see that things were coming heading in the right direction.
