Fifita or Galloway

i think fifita could be anything, but it is difficult to put a price on potential. I think Galloway is a more proven performer

we should keep all our players, and they should all play for minimum wage becoz they love the club

Both players for mind have their pros and cons;

Fifita - I would have to agree with prattenpark, the word around is that his attitude at training is poor and while he is big, young and capable of producing an aggressive run he primarily runs more in the fashion of a crab and doesn't have a high defensive work rate.

Sauce - On his day, he is a quality front rower capable of being damaging in attack and defense and his influence on the field is without question for mind (as seen in the difference between the go forward when he is on the paddock to when he is off it). Injuries or not he is the best front rower we have got. I just wish he would work out just how big of a unit he is (unfortunately on the brief occasions in each game that he does, Sheensy takes him off).

As a club we have, in my opinion, developed a culture over the years of producing props with high work rates that largely don't bend the line enough in attack, thus we often lack the go forward needed for our halves and Robbie to produce. While Fifita showed this potential we have a couple of other young blokes in the mix ie Woods, Groat and Begovich who from what I have seen have the potential to provide the team with said much needed go forward. Sauce should have this pointed out to him and start showing the way!

Fifita's attitude sucks, that's why he off to shark park next year.
I'd take Galloway anyday, a proven performer above a reputation that outways the reality.

Agreed, I'll have Sauce, an experienced front rower who keeps his head down and gets on with his business and he's not a media personality. Would like to see him become more of an aggressive leader from the front in the pack.

Galloway has had a fair crack at proving himself and IMO has failed, rarely cracks 100m per game and IMO doesnt take enough hit ups. Fifita while raw would of been the better option long term to keep galloway has no mongrel in him which is sad really for a guy his size

We have to look at value for money and IMO, Galloway has been a dud buy for us so far in this area.

He does play a strong game but we only get half the minutes per game out of him, he seems to get injured every other month and doesnt have the fire in the belly that I love.

That being said, his impact is bigger than Fifita's so I guess I'd choose him while I'm waiting for Woodsey and co to fully develop.

fifita doesnt fit into sheens game plan, he is too unrealiable…. his sideways runs, pushing blokes off him kills all go-forward our pack makes, esp now markers dont need to stand square and wrestling in the ruck can go on till the bloke with the ball gives up.
sauce is one that goes forward, he has a quick play the ball and drags in 3 to 4 players each hit up.... if he played in a pack where everyone of them done this he would be playing for australia. He is safe, never been suspended and dont think he has ever had a season ending injury... so injury prone ???

club made the right decision. esp with woods, BMM, groat and begevich coming through

Galloway would be my choice.

Yes fifita has got good potential but he doesnt do what is needed from him.

Fifita went missing tonight all the time when going was tough during our hitups (especially when we were in our half).

He is happy to be involved in defense or when we are on their line, but apart from that he lurks wide of the ruck and doesnt want to do the hard work.

Galloway puts his' hand up all the time to eat up the metres like is required 1st and 2nd tackles, by the props.

Until Fafita starts getting involved 1st hitup & taking the line on, running direct lines instead of crabbing cross field killing the forward momentum, I would take Galloway.

Time for Fifita to man up!

Its not like Fifita doesnt have the ability to be a great prop.

He just needs to buckle down and do the hard offensive work.

it seems like he exerts all of his' energy in defense, than doesnt get involved in attack early in the sets?

That is like the main reason you have props isnt it?

Would love to see him pull his' finger out and do the basic hard stuff.

I'd be keeping Galloway. I'm a fan of Fifita's, I'd have him in the 17 each week, but Galloway dents the line and runs straight each time, he's one of the few players the Tigers have who help get a roll on up the middle of the field. Fifita can come up with some excellent play on occasions and is damaging when he gets one on one against players, but when he's running straight at 2 or 3 players, he gets stopped pretty quickly, and this is where he and Woods differ, Woods tends to roll through the line a bit like Galloway.

I think the Tigers got it right as they have managed to retain Woods, Groat, BMM and Begovich who are all big units and can dent the line.

100 % they got it right. Give me Big Red in front of Fifita every day of the week.

Get Begovich up there NOW… He wont dissapoint and will be a perfect 1st rotation off the bench to keep us going forward. It wont take long before he starts drawing comparisons to Webke!!!

100%
whilst it is nice to have a prop who has bursts of greatness and does special things players like galloway are the bread and butter to competitive teams….The broncos thrive on having their webkes, hannats and peteros...and they have been the most successful club in the past 20 years off the back of these blokes.

You can not have 17 playmakers on the field...what the tigers need is a couple of bookends who run hard and straight and make metres as thats all props are really there for.

Galloway is perfect for this job
