Fifita:
I know it has been said but wow I am really looking forwrd to this guy playing over the next few year.
He is young, strong and knows how to hit a gap but he also has a massive fend, even when someone jumps on him he seems to push them off.
I hope he love the Tigers as we would love him to stay.
He does has a bit of an attitude but he deserves it

The problem with a kid like him is he has had about the same impact as your Willie Manu's, Daine Laurie's, Adam Cuthbertson's, the list goes on.

Once the youthful exuberance goes, then what is left? Hopefully he continues, but putting him on a long term contract will breed complacency in him and give him a big head.

2 year extension at most. Probably a 1 year extension with a view to a long term deal at the end.

Just quietly I think he is going to amount to a little more than Manu, Cuthbertson and Laurie…

In yesterdays post match Interview, Coach Sheens said that Andrew was dropped for a while due to being overweight.

This is ill discipline ( I'm guilty of Tim Tam binges myself).

Definitely retain the guy as good Props are hard to find and a lot more expensive to recruit.

He just bumps tacklers off all over the shop, and if he can learn to offload then backs hanging around him will get so many line breaks

If Sheens hates him then why is Sheens protecting him - saying he was injured when really he was dropped for being overweight.

I hope we sign him. I would hate him to go to the eels or panthers and tear us apart!

He has great impact…..is his brother on the improve?

Maybe hate is a strong word but I just have a feeling they don't see eye to eye. Sheens loves benji and benji and fifita got into a fight earlier in the season. Also sheens dropping fifita for being over-weight seems a bit ridiculous when he's still destructive. Good point hammertime, he's probably just trying to get the best out of him. He's definately my favourite prop and he shows so much character and enthusiasm out on the field. Lets hope we resign him and turn him into a face-palming wrecking ball, more so than he is now.

If the Tigers let him go and he joins another club than the person responsible should be thrown into a angry Tigers crowd to be dealt with….

I thought the club had a year option in their favour for all the NYC graduates from last season

Stats from panthers game:

41 minutes
10 tackle busts
113 metres
4 line breaks
9 hit-ups
23 tackles
1 try assists
0 errors
1 missed tackle

The club will push to keep the likes of Fifita, Woods and Roqica, they are the next top props coming through the ranks, a couple of years behind them is Matt Groat. Fortunately the Tigers have some pretty good forwards coming through the lower grades.

Sheens does not hate him in fact I think he rates him highly….He has done everything right with Fifita .,,,not just overweight but struggling with the grind of the NRL in arguably it's toughest position..the time spent in state cup with less intencity freshed him up....It proves once again Sheens brings young players along better than most....

He is signed till 2011...

Brother David has been going great for BRET of late as well...
