It's, "my generations" thing like before me, generations had star wars and whatnot.

I didn't like it when it came onto the scene & everyone was reading the books.

Never appreciated the movies either... until 5 years ago.

Just clicked.
Love them now.

Puzzle would be intense.

I saw last night on Fox that the Man From Snowy River was on so i taped it .....I'd argue that it has to be in the Top 5 Australian movies ever ...fantastic scenery ...amazing sound track ......a young Sigrid Thornton ......Kirk Douglas playing 2 roles .....priceless

Man, I grew up thinking Australian movies are / were incredibly lame.

I still to this day, have not seen many I'd even call good.

Unpopular opinion, of course.

But two hands is great.
Has it all.

Best Australian movie ever for me, personally.
Young Heath Ledger, a super star for sure.

they were kind of lame
that was a beauty not too many good ones like that.

I thought you might have seen this one being a boxing man two fists one heart cam out in 2008 that was pretty lame
 
A big favourite of mine was French Connection,
only the original , the sequel was rubbish.
Also liked Gere in American Gigolo and Officer and Gentleman.
As well as A Few Good Men.
All oldies but goodies !
 
I watched this at the theatre in Newtown. The wife wasn't too keen as it was an Independent release. She enjoyed it greatly and ended up watching it quite a few times.

Yes they are. I would actually argue that film is the more arbitrary term as it refers to a specific technology whereas movie literally means MOVING PICTURE.
