At least the brawl made the game interesting.
Apart from Baseball, Basketball would have to be one of the most boring games going.

@ said:Why bother to go to places as unstable as the Phillipines anyway the levels of corruption and crime are enormous,
Safety should be the main decider as to where we play,

Soccer is a joke aye…
Just can't sit through it. Zzz
Bball is alright, it isn't what it was in the 90s tho.
Same with boxing but boxing is slowly becoming a powerhouse again with big stars coming through like Deontay Wilder, Anthony Joshua, Adrien Broner and the like.

Of course the players' safety is paramount and it should not have happened as panned out. But the Philippine is basketball mad it is everywhere in every nook and cranny **don't take one of their pleasures away from an impoverished people.** Make them erect barricades if necessary. **It is in their blood to be protective and they are proud how they fought the Spanish, Japanese and Americans**. Australia has gone through nothing like they have gone through so they have a different psych. Kick their coach out for life for a start and half of their team.
when they return play in Australia make it a reconciliation game.

Because it's a WC qualifier. Our soccer/football team had to play in some dubious places
