So with the top 6 teams pretty much all locked in who will be the last 2? Would 28 pts be the cut off for finals this year?
Dragons 18 pts could be looking at downward spiral but possibly only need to win 5 of their next 8

Sharks 16pts would need 6 wins from last 8 games

Knights 16pts same as Sharks above

Titans would need 7 wins from 8 games

Raider 7 wins from 8

Cowboys 7 wins from 8

Warriors 8 from 8

Tigers 8 from 8

I would say knights & sharks. Lots of the above teams with above average runs home but if those 2 can keep a fully fit side on the park, I think it’ll be them

I think the cut off might be less this year considering the comp has basically been split. I think Cronulla and Newcastle will be 7th and 8th providing Ponga stays fit. if we can gain some momentum and string a few wins together and defend well these next couple of months that's all we can ask for. I see us around 11th or 12th.

We will go on a run, win enough to make the 8, then momentum will take us through to the grand final against Melbourne. We will knock Penrith out in the semis. I haven't yet foreseen enough to declare the outcome of the grand final yet though, sorry.

None of the bottom sides have shown enough consistency to go on a run. They'll probably all trade wins with each other and the cut off could then be as low as 22 or 24.

Doesn't really matter anyway, 7th and 8th will just be token finalists and most likely lost by 40 odd in week 1.

We win 43-41 after Brooks kicks a 40m 2 pt field goal from the sideline on 1 knee to break the deadlock in the 80th minute having been poleaxed by NAS . Post-game he apologised that his last tackle kick options had been woeful - he was actually trying to set up Douehi on the goal line but mistimed the shot and the field goal ensued.

Could say we're 3 games out of the 8 with our P/D.

Storm vs Knights - with a loss to Knights
Wests Tigers vs Broncos - with a loss to Broncos

This leaves us on 14, with Sharks, Raiders and Knights all on 16.

The following week is (round 19)

Eels vs Raiders - with a loss to Raiders
Knights vs Roosters - with a loss to Knights
Dogs vs Sharks - with a win to Sharks
Wests Tigers vs Manly - with a win here, we sit 9-12 equal points with Sharks, Titans, Raiders and Knights, with the Sharks taking 8th at 18 points.

Round 20: (going off same group)

Dragons vs Rabbits - with a loss to Dragons
Knights vs Raiders - with a loss to Raiders
Sharks vs Manly - with a loss to Sharks
West Tigers vs Warriors - with a win here, we sit 7-11 equal points with Titans, Dragons, Sharks, Knights, with Manly taking 6th spot at 24 points.

So from what we have here is really a race, IF WE WIN all 3, if not - that will be our season.

But that was before we had half a season to realise we weren’t getting better. I agree it got tougher but doubt it made a difference
