Finals series 2017 *Spoilers

How many millimetres was Walkers foot in front of the ball is the question I'd want answered.
The games adjudication is beyond ridiculous, are they eventually going to have a grid superimposed on the field in millimetre increments in the future to make sure they get these calls right?
Same goes with the Uate no try, I agree with Joey that the replay should be viewed at normal speed and at normal speed it's a try. If it looks like a duck

Ahhhh..poor Manly. What a shame. After all the hype about the new golden boy of coaching and Turbo Tom etc , etc, they last one week longer than the Newcastle Knights!! And, as always with this self-entitled mob, the whingeing is loud and long. Good riddance. Drown your sorrows on Mad Monday but shut the (expletive) up. We're glad you're gone.

Jakey Alphabet bit of a girl eh? Pmsl

What did he do? Great player, champion bloke, would love to have him at WT in the future.

Yeh I wouldn't mind him here either… But boy he can carry on... Still moaning about the Peachey try after full time off the field.

His room seems very overrated too... Plays very loose often

Uate dropped it cold but the offside try was too hard to call. Walker is a prat though so maybe that is how it goes. I think Peachy's try had to be given. It was too hard to tell if it touched his hand therefore it's a try.

What is the point of having a Bunker if they can't even make a call which could decide a team's season.

It is just ridiculous!

They get more calls wrong than right. And we go to the Bunker way too often and it sometimes stops the momentum of games.

And I am sick of the excuse 'they're only human'. What happen if a surgeon was doing a surgery and they made a mistake and killed a person. 'They're only human'.
What is a murderer killed someone. 'They're only human'

I can give a little bit of sympathy to the 2 on field refs, they are running around making calls on the run. But they miss a hell of a lot of calls.

I am most angry about the touchies. They do absolutely nothing! The amount of forward passes is beyond ridiculous, it just needs to stop.

We need to have a good look at our refs and fix them up before the Grand Final and the World Cup.

It would be such a shame if those two events got ruined by our crap refereeing

pffft…Even the Queen thinks so..

Only because Queenscliffe looks down on Manly. And you would not dare do that in Thailand - they would have you sucking savs in the lock up.

The front on angle was the best angle. I think it would have been clear whether or not Peachey touched it if Taupau wasn't in the way. He was like the street sign in the Zapruder film that blocks out the first shot that hit Kennedy.

Its hard to present why I dont like Parra's chances but in a word…sabotage.
They have an awesome pack who run hard and use their shoulders in D and a backline that can do anything on their day. But they have a lot of hotheads and penalty givers who can lose them the game in the blink of an eye through poor discipline and/or brain explosions. They will be found out for mine, especially that skinny little poser in the 7 jumper. I think they will go out in straight sets to the eventual GF combatants.

Can you back them this good at Randwick?

What a glorious Sunday Morning, parra and manly lost, Egg and bacon roll and a coffee, a slight hangover from yesterday's fun what more could a man want!

How the refs missed the 2-3 metre forward pass for Melbourne's 1st try makes you wonder whether they are on the take. Same for disallowed Parra try in 1st half, the ball went back off the hand. Should of been 16-0 at halftime. Arthur had every right to feel cheated out of that win.
Sport is a business more than a genuine sporting contest these days….....NRL needs to have a successful team in AFL heartland Victoria so the Storm got handed the game through very dubious officiating. It is a shame for fans that our game is headed down the path of orchestrated results, it has been that way for the last 10 years or thereabouts.

Parra from another angle

There is an excellent article on Brad Arthur in yesterday's SMH
http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/the-story-parramatta-eels-coach-brad-arthur-never-wanted-told–until-now-20170908-gyddf1.html

"Perhaps it's because the supporters could finally see that even though they were not making regular finals appearances, their team was having a good, old-fashioned dig? Maybe it's because Arthur, with the help of his wife, replies to every fan who writes to him, whether they are offering support, criticism or coaching advice."

and as well they almost chose Jason Taylor instead

On occasion. I lost the Manly game though so im 2 from 3.

Storm 1st try wasn't forward then hey? Surely even an imbecile could see that it was. Parra disallowed try was a did call, if it was just left to the video ref it would of been allowed if it wasn't for Cummins sending it up as a knock-on.

No…. You're glad there gone. I'm not.

I'd rather Penriff facing mad Monday.

I didn't care who would win that game when it started but as it went on and I saw how many Manly players were being absolute grubs - especially that Dylan Walker - then I was hoping for a Penrith win.

A lot of things being said probably because of last weeks thrashing but I just love karma.

The other interest to me was watching Sironen play. Talk about de ja vu, he didn't do anything. My missus said didn't that #12 for Manly play for the Tigers? I said yeah but we let him go to Manly early because he didn't do much for us. Then when he came off in the second half his stats came up - 20 odd tackles and 30 odd metres gained. How does he play first grade at Manly?
