blake barely played halfback tonight

Don't know about him, a lot of wraps (even according to commentators, quote "he has been telling the coach je is ready to play" - but on tonight's performance, I reserve judgement…

how do you look at this game?

On one hand the boys put in their best defensive effort ever
yet on the other, their attacking plays were back to the 2006-2007 shams!

Good, structured football is what they NEEDED to do
but they seemed content with going for the power plays every chance they had

They need to understand that they have to do several sets of plain rugby league with props banging it up, THEN they can do the little fancy things.

Lazzo was a joke
worst halfback ever

"best defensive effort ever" we missed 47 tackles and and they scored 24 points would hate to see a bad defensive game.
On Lazzo maybe we could get the bloke from the forum who rated himself a better player than Mitchell Pearce

Quick, let' sign him up.. :unamused:

of those 47 missed tackles id say 20+ came in the last 10 minutes if you didnt think the first half defensive effort was great then you are an idiot (and yes i can call you an idiot as proven by chris the moderator)

I dare say 25 of those tackles happened in the last 15 minutes JRD

Well the game goes for 80 minutes and if you not on the ball for all 80 of them your good work in the first half can be undone in the end still reads 47 missed tackles

Lazarus was worse.

Ayshford, Lawrence, Beau on par

The point I'm making is all the backs didn't do much in attack because we had little quality ball.

But thats fine, we need a scapegoat everyweek so may as well make it Fitz all the time

Ayshford as bad as Fitzhenry? Are you kidding me???

There were others worse than Fitzhenry

I usually defend Sheens selections but tonight Fitzy stuttered our attack soooo many times… When he just stood there and watched ennis.... it was disgusting! Reminded me of Moltz last season...

JRD, you are a moron who clearly has no idea…name another team in the comp that will win with a 40% possession rate

Im a moron for stating we missed 47 tackles???????????????
So your happy for us to miss 47 tackles every week and you think i have no idea

Yes you have no idea…about half of these came in the last 10-15 mins!!!!

The game was over on the scoreboard...the players had exceded there aerobic threshold...the result is drop off in performance...namely the little extra efforts that normally come naturally...

the moron statement is with regards to your lack of context when you throw out a useless stat...give everyone some context then we agree with you...

Perhaps a better post from you would be... The tigers tackled there backsides off to a standstill after a massive drain on possession, unfortunately this resulted in them missing lots of tackles at the end of the game...

We missed a lot of them in the last 10-15 minutes, when we were out on our feet. Too much defence in the first half hurt us. If we defended like that, had a decent share of possession, and held the bloody ball, we'd have been right in it.
