First to Put My Fickle, Fickle Hand Up

I jumped on the anti Ryan bandwagon last week, called for him to be dumped like a pile of other people and was dubious when he was picked again. I put my hand up to say I was wrong. Ryan was 1000% on last week, handled everything thrown at him and looked comfortable.

but kept running sideways and had minimal impact …

if mckinnon is fit next week put brown on the wing and daniella can replace ayshford in the centres

He got absolutely smashed by Lewis after taking a bomb in a pretty desperate attempt to shake him up and he took the hit like a champion and played the ball, and then got involved in the next two plays. He took every high ball and everything that was thrown to him stuck like crap to a blanket.

I think last week was just a bad game for Beau, but Brown certainly has more impact as he's a bigger boy and runs hard at the line. I'd have Brown in the #5 before Ryan.

You have possibly 1 player coming back from injury and you want to make 3 changes…

Is this Tim Sheens???

Let that be a lesson to you Luke …... so many fans are far too quick to put the boot in when things are not going well.
They more often than not are proven wrong ........ always better to be on the side of the optimist .... its so much more rewarding keeping the faith than planting the boot in.

thats not your approach to Blake lazarus earlier this year Knuckles… :unamused:

Was better than last wek but I still think we have 4 or 5 better options than him

Of course not …... two completely different issues. You're comparing a seasoned first grader with a kid trying to become a seasoned first grader ........ its like comparing apples to zuccini's !

Yep fair enough. I bagged him deluxe last week and with good reason - he played on of the all time stinkers - but he bounced back when he had to. I still think he's more solid than superstar but he'll do me on the wing for the time being.

hind sight is a wonderful thing.
I also vented my anger/frustration towards beau, in some of the topics.
emotions/passion get the better of us sometimes.

He didn't stuff up… that was about it.

He's still cost us 2 games this year and there's plenty of blokes waiting in the wings with much more talent....

he also won us a game with a good try against the Raiders to put us in front in the dying minutes. I have no issue with him playing on the wing. Fullback has proven to not be his position this season though.

he was also the first player to front the fans at the members day and apologised straight away to the members and his teammates and vowed to make it up to us. I thought that was a very classy and genuine act worthy of respect. he is always so passionate as shown by his celebrations and his pointing to the logo as he walks off to the fans.

gee doesn't Daine Laurie look intimidating in that photo ?

It took Sheens about 20 rounds to realize we had better options than Fitzy so you would think Ryan safe for a while yet.

Like others Its not so much that Ryan is not capable, its more the case that we may have a better option that is being held back. The next three weeks will be the test

Quite the opposite of Sheens. When we have 3 players out all he does is shuffle the decks rather than promoting the next best player in the proper position. Hell, he ended up with Fitzy in the #7\. Can you get much worse?!

You can't seriously say Daniella doesn't deserve a go ahead of Ayshford?

However, as much as I'd like to see Brown and Daniella given a go, at this stage of the season with the 3 tough games we have left I don't think there'll be any changes unless forced by injury
