IF Moltzen gets the nod and considering the injury to Farrell Teddy could see some NYC time this season.

Shame about Mason Farrell another ACL injury. What is going on with these ACL injuries.
That makes it 4 young Wests Tigers that have done their ACL in the past year Farrell, James Luff, James Tedesco and Jarrad Szczudlo not to mention Tatau Moga who was training on Wests Tigers turf.

Nofoaluma, Tedesco and Sironen although still eligible for NYC will play NSW cup if not selected in the top grade.

Good to see Teddy back and hopefully ease his way into it. This announced team gives coach Potter a chance to see what he has as back ups when injury strikes….good look see under game conditions good move as he comes in cold with no views as yet.Interesting re Brooks the pressure is being applied to Miller & Moltzen good to see and hopefully the favourite son syndrome is gone from concord at last!

Decent looking lineup for the Tigers, plenty of youth and enthusiasm and I like the look of the 1, 6 and 7\. Luani at 9 is an interesting choice and I like the look of the backrow. The bench looks to have a good blend of size and mobility too. Hopefully no injuries regardless of the result.

EXCITING young fullback James Tedesco will make a long-awaited return from injury for the Wests Tigers in their trial against Penrith on Friday night.

Tedesco has been named in the No. 1 jersey for the match at Carrington Park Sportsground, Bathurst.

The game will mark Tedesco’s first appearance since suffering a season-ending ACL injury on debut against Cronulla in round one last season.

The only other players with NRL experience in the side are Tim Simona, Sean Meaney and Bodene Thompson, who was recruited from the Titans.

in that side there is six of last years U20s forward pack either starting or on the bench.I will be interested to see how must of them go. But i am hoping that big Naiyaravoro goes well as we could use his size in the top grade.Also hope teddy and brooks kill it.

Brooks is the most interesting selection imo. This suggests he has really impressed Potter. I thought he'd be a sure thing for the 7 in NYC, but this makes me think Potter wants to see how he goes against some older guys in case he wants to use him in 1sts or even NSW cup. He must only be a season away from NRL, if not getting a call up at some stage through the year. Very promising for such a young guy.

If you were Potter and think he is very close to stepping up to NRL, even if not 2013 but for 2014, would you play Brooks in NYC or State Cup this year to better ready him for the NRL?

Thats exactly what I was thinking tooth!!

I have a feeling Brooks and Sironen will be the halves in State Cup and Billy Kitt and Mitchell Moses will be the halves in NYC. Especially if Moltzen is the 1st grade fullback in round 1.

What are others thoughts?

I went on record last season and said that Tedesco will play FG (ok, so we only got 30 minutes out of him but all the signs were there).

I'll go on record now and say that I believe Brooks will make his FG debut this season too.

I wouldn't mind Brooks in first grade this year, would also be good if he was put in on the bench and plays about 30 mins a game for experience just incase anything goes wrong in the halves, If milky or benji gets injured then where do we go? I really don't want Moltzen in the halves and Sironen does not have much experience to play alongside Miller.

I hope theres minimal changes and disruptions....the rep season will play its part, but other than that...better for the team as a whole and better for youngsters development

You really amaze me, Firstly I said that he and Miller will be swapped around during the game. Secondly if Benji or Miller get injured during the game what happens then? Would you like to see Anasta in the halves? If you would then have fun watching us finish out of the 8 this year.
