More worried about the performances of Buchanan and Fotuaika than the likes of Teddy or Brooks. Both of them are more or less useless if we don't have useful depth in the front row. Woods and Galloway handled last year until Big Red broke down, we fell apart without a quality replacement.

Teddy I believe will be a special player and I hope will line up round 1 fitness and physique permitting, but there are guys who can fill the role ably. Our front row is lacking and will require a lot of quick maturing on the part of our NYC and State Cup front rowers as they will almost definitely be called upon this year.
 
I'm really happy to see we've hung on to a lot of the impressive forwards from the NYC last year. Fotuaika, Inosesio, Paasi and Sue were all very damaging last year, and if we can hang on to these guys, along with some other backrowers still in the NYC like Lovett and Santi, there's a very bright and destructive future for the Tigers!
 
Big Ava has impressed all off season. I think he will be first cab off the rank.
 
Just a fun fact for you all, the Penrith winger Travis Robinson is the brother of Reece the winger/fullback from the Raiders and like Reece, the half brother of Beau Champion

😛ray: you are right, WT produced quite a few potential star forwards e.g. Woods, Begovich, Dwyer, Fafita, and now Ava, Mosese, Nathan, and Soni :slight_smile:
Deja vu 1960's generation (Sironen, Roach, Ellias, Pierce, Jack ) :slight_smile:

The key to how Tigers perform this year is not where or how Moltzen will play but how their new forwards develop and take up the challenge. The upcoming trials and early competition matches is where the wheat will be sorted from the chaff. Stand by.
 
Well James Gavet has not been put into this side either. He's a big young prop NSW cup prop of the year in 11 and debuted for canterbury rd 23 last year.

Might give us some much needed size and strength up front.

For Tedesco, the match marks his first game since suffering a season ending knee injury in his NRL debut against Cronulla at Leichhardt Oval in round one last season.

New recruits in back-rower Bodene Thompson and centre Rory Brien will make their first appearance for Wests Tigers. Five-eighth Sean Meaney is the only other player in the Wests Tigers side with NRL experience.

Eight players from the 2012 Wests Tigers NYC premiership winning team will play their first senior game in David Nofoaluma, Asipeli Fine, Joel Luani, Mosese Fotuaika, Inno Inosesio, Soni Paasi, Sauaso Sue and Sitaleki Akauola.

Promising half Luke Brooks has been given an opportunity at half-back after impressing NRL Head Coach Mick Potter during pre-season training. Brooks is yet to play an NYC game after playing SG Ball for Balmain Tigers last season.
