Fitzy to Tigers - Cashmere looking to return to NRL

Oh dear god! No no no no no

Hell why not bring back Buckets, Whatuira, Elford, and Hodgo??

Obviously the club is still living in 2005, most of us fans have moved on from that year, but the club hasnt!

Young blokes team played their GF qualifier today at Concord, they got to use the 'home' sheds.
Fitzys old cubby hole still pastered in FWO stickers.

This is why we need to sack Tim Sheens, he is hurting the club with these ridiculous recruitment decisions. He didn't learn his lesson from the Jason Moodie debacle?
 
If Fitzhenry is at the club next year our 4 season tickets will not be renewed …this has to be a joke.

Good call,unless he is playing for free,and not playing first grade is the only acceptable excuse for signing him.
We can cover all positons he plays with better quality players,an absolue waste of space.
 
Fitzy can come back as far as im concerned on the premise that we sign tuquiri. he can fight it out with him and tuaki for the wing spots.
 
I would welcome both back as long as other signings "marquee" are not compromised.

I am sure that Fitzy would not cost much - he should have an incentive based contract, so he has not real bite in terms of salary cap if he cannot make the grade and perform at the levels demanded by a Premiership winning team. Cashmere would be a good back-up. Not sure how he has been going in the past 12-24 months. Forwards typically improve with age and time on the park at the top levels. He is a strong bugger with some size.

I can see Cashmere having some use for the Tigers, seeing as how we havn't recruited any name forwards as yet- but Fitzy? Does he even come close to improving the outside back stocks next season?

I'd rather stick with the Mitch Brown's, Geoff Daniela's etc.
 
im willing to give fitzy another chance to show what he can do in a tigers jersey again
there are no real wingers at the club no more and our lack of depth there is shown with Hanbury and Ayshford there this weekend

I believe that there is wingers in the club, its just that Sheens doesnt want to use them.
Pritchard, Davis, Akpika, Lee Bennent, Meaney all could of played on the wing done the club proud.
I just dont see why Collis is there. I was a big fan of his a couple of season ago but cant understand why he puts Ashyford out on the wing. I wouldnt even put Collis there.
You might as well have put Dene out there just for his dummy half runs to get us on the front foot.
 
I was never a big fan of Fitzy but he wasnt a bad winger and was part of our 2005 grand final squad so will always have a special part of Wests Tigers history. BUT his time at the club has come and gone. Its time to move on. I cant see what benefit signing him will have. Sure will improve depth but how much speed does he still have? Wouldnt it be better to give a youngest a go? Why sign Mitch Brown and Daniella?
