When I saw him run out for the warm up I thought why select him to cover for Ellis..well Gareth can have a couple of weeks off. His defence was awesome & coupled with some good hit ups see you Gareth in a couple of weeks!

Thought he was terrific. Tackled himself to a stand still and made metres with the pill.

Good post, snake. I like Flannagan - a good, honest toiler who won't take a backward step. Whilst he may not have all the skills of Ellis, he will give it his best for the full 80 mins, much like Fulton. He was very good for us in last year's finals campaign, too, so would be happy to have him in the mix again this year, even when Ellis returns

Well how timely is this with Flano playing well, Ellis can have a few weeks off to get ready for the finals .

Not trying to bag Payten, but really a player like Flano must offer more. Once again Todd looked off the pace today.

Best game since the Roosters game last season . Still hope Gareth is back next week . We lose a lot when he isn't playing

Flanagan definitely surprised me today. He's not a typical big forward but played with plenty of courage today. He pulled off some superb tackles when we needed it. Well done

I thought Payten was a bit better today but agree that Flano would offer a lot more.

I wonder if his best pos is 2ond row considering his size. He is a pretty good player to be wasted in NSW cup.

He was very impressive today particularly in defence, looked like he took his opportunity with both hands and made the most of it, very well done can't ask much more of a player than to have a real dig like Flano did today- congratulations to him

Yeah, went really well. Especially after such a long time out of the top grade. Had a good dig. Good stuff flano.

And will get his chance to prove how beneficial his time with the Wests Tigers has been in 2012 when he returns to the ESL, originally I thought he was off to the newly promoted Widnes Vikings side but may have been hijacked on the way by one of the Super clubs.
I agree that perhaps with the draw that we have coming up that we keep Gareth on ice for the big games.

A player doesnt have to have all the Headline grabbing potential to do a great job ala Fifita he just needs a great attitude and that wat Flanagan looks to have he looks like sheens tells him to do something and he competes his best to do it a big difference between the Talented players and a strong work ethic
