Fonua gone for extended period

@happy_tiger exactly, and as neither myself or hubby brought it up, believe @weststigers mentioned bannings it just seemed a ridiculous conversation to continue lol

On topic fonua seemed like he was patched up at Bunnings virtually after the first injury since he returned to NRL with us last year. He is on, along with Thompson, not a whole lot of dosh so guess the best option is promote a worthy youngster and hope he outbeasts Mullet

I do note it’s usually the same people seemingly trying to not disagree but rile up others.

@rustycage no. 2 a much more astute buy

Not happening tho as we’ve a full roster.

Guess there's a spot still open...?

@Geo and Madge has announced it. You’re a sucker for the SMH garbo’s aren’t ya

Not being rude it just doesn’t honestly seem that you’ve been made aware or up to date... we’re all waiting for an official members e-mail but it’s on the way, you’re not alone man

I didn't get my email...?

@Geo neither did I sadly, tiggies couldn’t give Mannah his money so he reneged.

Again, don’t listen to everything you hear in the media or read in the paper mate!

Or on a forum by the looks

Haha most definitely !! It was obviously not just a rumour but somewhat glad we’re on a path to promoting one of our classy juniors, and missed out on this nuffy, any idea who it might be @Geo

@Jessica guess somebody was in an old man McPoophead mood when he woke up on the QLD side of the bed thinking he was in Spain this morning .. shame Pascoe can’t replace any players whilst he’s suspended and Madge is trying to get every player on the same page - couldn’t with Mahe apparently :/ didn’t think Geode would have a rudimentary reply to that HAHAHA

I went to bed..Bradley would be my guess..

And as already stated Fonua wont be offered a contract beyond this year but remains part of the 30 man NRL squad whilst injured..

@Geo cheers. My opinion is that either Bradley or Robson’s add the most to our squad and in the positions we now need depth

@Cultured_Bogan to be honest with you the hubby is quite upset about it... He even agreed with your post and wanted no further involvement with Stephen. Why the ban?
Happy to receive information via PM and just pass it on until his ban is void.

Hi @Jessica, having only just looked at this thread, as not a big fan of the mullet, it has given me more perspective to the number of bright red "Banned" stripes of late.

I'd like to simply say, keep your chin up and welcome to the forum. It is good to have some new (assumed, young) blood on here. There are plenty of dinosaurs on here, personally from the cretaceous period myself, so there are plenty of ingrained opinions, particularly so on politics and religion, but also our beloved game.

Things are often tightly regulated on here, though overall, it certainly makes for a reasonably pleasant environment, which I hope that you and your friends, will continue to contribute toward upon their return.

@formerguest cheers formerguest right u are
Except I’m an old gal also 😛

Tongan international outside back Mahe Fonua is currently attracting a ton of interest from the English Super League.
___
The 26 year old is off contract at the end of 2019 & the Tigers appear in no rush to re-sign their man. Subsequently, I'm hearing up to 7 Super League clubs are interested.
___
Fonua is currently sidelined for the remainder of the 2019 season with a foot injury.
___
At this stage, Hull FC are the favourites for his signature. Fonua has previously played 58 games for the club between 2016-2017. He led his side to 2 consecutive Challenge Cup's.
___
Fonua has played 130 games of professional Rugby League & represented Tonga a further 6 times.
___
A move to the UK in 2020 is looking very likely for the Tongan powerhouse & he is certainly in demand.

I have no idea who Clarkey is maybe Olli's brother but 7 Clubs hey ..wow

We were all saying that Thompson at best will be a depth player for us and Fonua would be a handy player in our starting squad. LOL, look at how its turned out to be...
