Naa , if Johnny is fit , and ready to roll he is still better than a lot we have , given the new guys who will start in first grade , a fit Bateman would be in that team , he just played for his country , is a real competitive bugger , now we have some real power up front , May , Klemmer , Hunt , Sam , Bird , Twal , we are stronger and with Luai taking charge and guiding this team Johnny Boy will be running into gaps , wait and see

Your comparing a 1st year coach going into his 2nd year too the 2 greatest coaches ever in Bellamy and Bennett? 🤣 that's a ridiculous argument of course Benji record doesnt stack up to theirs aswell as every current coach in the NRL and Super League. Please tell us about Benji coaching abilities that you doubt , and who's out there currently we could get? And I'm taking emotion out of it

The onus is on you to tell me what abilities he possess. Did anything we produce in 24 give you any confidence in him that he has any sort of clue? If so, what

I think we seen younger players improve over the 1st season under Benji , in particular Bula, Galvin, Fainu and Pole, would you agree with that ? I seen some good things in some of our performances and some really bad . But I think Benji deserves this next year before we count him out as a coach . Look at the Bulldogs 12 months ago . Team needs to improve the defence and discipline. Me personally with the roster now I think top 12 is a pass . Richo seems to think Benji has all the skills to succeed so he must know something. I do think part of the reason is Benji why we signed Luai, May, Hunt and Skelton with them being Polynesian background they would of idolised Benji growing up, being coached by one of your idols would be one of the reasons. What do you think ? Where on the same side . I just want to see the tigers succeed just like you. Not many good coaches on the market either. I can't think of any I would want . Maybe Sam Burgess but he's unproven aswell .

Surely, You're inventing the above?

Most agree, Bula didn't progress this year,
Galvin and Fainu are in the first year - Can't consider that improving....
I'm a massive Fonua Fan, But I don't know he came on at all this year either.

This year will be a real test for all of them, Although harder to guage their actual improvement
- We've pretty much bought them a new team.

Yeah 100% pressure to deliver goes up next year with new roster. Fainu 2nd year . But yes 1st full year. If Benji doesn't work out next year what are people's thoughts on who available for coaches ? Brad Arthur? Burgess ? Ben hornsby ?

Haven’t even mentioned the fact, 2 of our marquee players walked out on the club this year while under contract. And could be a third if Bateman leaves. That’s no minor thing.

C’mon mate let’s give Benji some latitude? He did even the scales by sending a few of the young ones to the naughty corner.

It’s only good recruitment if it produces the kind of results which support our expectations. It’s too early to start flag waving imho. The job is only half done.

Obviously but we have been whining for years about not being able to recruit and attributing good recruitment to coaches at other clubs. Benji will live and die by his results but no coach gets good results if they can't recruit.

Pretty sure that Benji Will be there at least for an additional year.

He has been pivotal in recruitment.

I hope he really toughens up with coaching style and fitness
