For all the people moaning about signings

Apparently Shaun Johnson is exploring his options, would be the x factor we need in the halves. Handy goal kicker too. Maybe Maguire can talk him into it, assuming the Roosters haven't already signed him.

first Asian player in the NRL. would be great but doubt it

Eh?
Johnson Asian yeh?
But still there's been a few before, Craig wing, a couple part filo guys one was titans. Name escapes. Me. Now

I think Johnson's Mum is of Laotian descent, but i might be wrong.

Yeah she is. Johnson also has a fully Laotian half-brother. They made a documentary about it a year or so ago, that I've not seen.

I think also ink is thinking about Matt Srama as the filo player from Titans. Payne Haas is part Filo too.

Yeah there's quite a number with at least part Asian heritage, especially amongst the Kiwis - Alex Chan I believe, also Mason Lino and RTS are part Chinese.

Kevin and Jharal Yow Yeh are part Chinese also - they were the first that came to mind.

Also Richard Chee Quee - joking.

Is Tapau off contract? Any chance Madge could get him back?

He would be a very handy pickup for us. We seem to be a little light on in the forwards with Sue and Grant leaving.

Would love him, but I reckon Des would be very keen to keep him.

Already in discussions to extend him with a huge backended contract.

Both Taupau and JWH over the last few weeks in separate articles have been singing the praises of Maguire's coaching so you never know out of the current Kiwis squad who may be interested in joining the Tigers. One can only hope.

I would definitely take those 2 to fill up the top 30

Yep, he left whilst Des was there.

Well, it's better than having Ivan Cleary having to explain why Penrith's Hard Drives are screwed up! :iphone::calling::iphone::calling:

At this stage I’m still thinking Madge will have the side going equal or slightly better than last year and the recruited players are better than the ones that left the WTs
