No one knows what goes on at training except coaches and players, might be that the players have a terrible attitude and aren't willing to learn or it may be Potter has instilled a terrible defensive structure. In all honesty i find it hard to believe this is not Potters fault, our defence has been subpar since as long as i can remember, Potter has come into the club and made major changes to our roster, he has not changed our on field performance, he has been blessed with a superstar fullback who has got us this high on the ladder. If it wasn't for Tedesco's form we would be sitting on second last. Our record without Farah is along the lines of 5 losses and 1 win, what did Potter do to change this? nothing, he persisted with a rubbish Hooker when he had other options (Halatau/Austin/Thomson/Farlow/Cherrington).

It's Poor on field leadership IMO

Whenever we're gone in a game with under 20 to go we drop our heads and the floodgates open. However when we're winning with little time left we never put foot on the throat. I think we'll finish on 28 points and miss the finals on for and against. Entirely our fault

It's been this way for as long as we've been around. Just a poor culture in the club.

Milky, you're right that we wouldn't be where we are without Tedesco, but think where we'd be if the bloke could string together a decent amount of games! Credit in no small part goes to the forwards for the early season form as well, a dominating pack is something I've never seen as a Tigers fan and Potter can take praise for that.
It's a young squad, we've been run over by experienced, hardened teams while under siege from injury and origin. I've seen enough early on to know that when we're fit and firing we are good enough to win the comp.

End of the day I think it's the player's attitude. When they're fired up a la Manly or Souths, we'll run rampant, but the second their heads drop we're made to look second rate. There's only so much a coach can do without support from his players on the field. We need them to stand up and be counted.

I for one don't take for and against lightly. The good teams don't turn it up when under pressure and get beaten by 40 points, and the good teams don't rest on their laurels when in front - it is exactly at this time that the good teams go for the throat and win by big margins, and until we can adopt that very same mentality our poor for and against figures will continue to haunt us - we need to get down and dirty. Winning is nice, but winning well is nicer - go for the throat Tigers!
