For those who think Sheens was just coaching us too long...

With Sheens gone so has are once feared attack. The "Wests Tigers" style of offence is history.

But the crap defence remains due to his wonderful recruitment

Don't we all really miss Tim :brick:

Dont really agree to be honest. We averaged around 23 missed tackles a game after the Dragons (excl. round 1) which is a great improvement from i think 35 with Sheens? However, it went to s*** after that with all the injuries and we've been at over 30 a game since.

Also, the NRL as a whole has lifted defense enormously as seen by Manly and the Roosters, even the Storm are great despite not being in the top couple defensively.

So, Potter has made a solid improvement in defence considering the lacklustre roster (no Ellis, Heighington, Galloway) but our metres conceded is a dangerous worry. Last in the NRL a few weeks ago and I doubt its gotten better since then.

have a look closely at Sheens as the coach and his record

the 3 times we made the semis 1 was 2005 where we were great for 3 months at the right time of year. (which every team has to be to win the comp)

2010 was no doubt our best year consistently and the season I enjoyed most of the way even though we choked a semi final game, it was exciting
we did hang around the top 8 most of the year, the real downer was that souffs game. but we never looked back after that however once again, it was based off the last few months the top 4 finish

2011 was based off also 8 straight wins near the end landing a top 4 spot

now have you ever seen the Storm Manly etc just hang around fringe of the 8 till July and decide to win 8 in a row??
