Forget about top 4 this season

But that doesn't mean we can't win the comp. that's a different story. We are not as consistent as Melbourne, Bulldogs, Manly without injuries, Brisbane this season. At least we can play ourselves into form against the 4 teams in the bottom of the 8 in the semis & then play with with big boys.

I hope you guys realise that in Round 18 last year, we lost to the Eels 22-6\. They hadn't won in a while and were due, and we slumped to our 3rd consecutive loss and dropped out of the 8.

We then won EVERY GAME remaining in the regular season to finish 4th.

Now you might say "ohh but we played so badly last night". I can assure you, that game against Parra was embarrassing and I'd love to look through the archives and read how many forumers wrote us off for the year.

There's also about 5 years where we're were in a similar position and didn't make the 8.

It can be done and the tigers can string a lot of wins together, but it's not looking great.

Looking forward to the next few rounds, most of the top teams have byes and games against bottom teams. Barring a few upsets we will struggle to push beyond 6th even if we win 5 straight.

Relax boys, another 7 game winning streak and we'll all be talking about the premiership again. It's just how we do things here. Win a few and we're world beaters and Sheens is a genius, lose a few and we should be playing State Cup and Sheens suddenly becomes the worst coach ever. We're the epitome of being the most fickle fans in the NRL.

Here's to you guys!!!

We are now in a dog fight to stay in the 8\. We need 32 points to ensure a position.

This implies we need to win 6 out of 9 and this will be difficult given we play the Dogs twice and the Storm. We also have to play Souths and Cowboys (away). We will have the Warriors and the Dragons breathing down our necks all the way till the end.

We have a bad draw, but interestingly, there are teams around us with worse draws.

I didn't think we were making the top 4 at the start of the season and nothing has changed in that regard because there were always sides of equal quality who seem to have a greater ability to be consistent in that mix.

Top 8 is still very achievable but we have an interesting road home
