I like to see 26 rounds of footy been played uninterrupted.
Representative footy has it's place, but it shouldn't be during the normal footy season.
Not sure what the answer is, but it can't stay as is. ( But propably will )

I think the answer is pretty simple leave it as it is and give all 16 Clubs 3 Bye Rounds equally .

The only thing not sure how the Broadcast rights will take it…..having 3 Weekends with no Footy ?

Players across the board will not dispute this , if you want to whinge about player burnout ? then make yourself unavailable for Rep games and let someone else pocket that $30,000 per game they get paid .

Read my plan FT

Every weekend you have 2 SOO games (Australia and NZ ) plus 8 Round Robin games

What more do you want ??

8 Round robin game , the TPA tournament can't include Clubs like Broncos, Cowboys, Roosters, Parra if not it's uneven tournament :roll

I agree, better still all teams should play each other twice and do the home and away comp properly. Start the season earlier - no need for the nines - and play every game a night until April. No split rounds for Origin, players chosen sit out their club game the weekend beforehand and the weekend after if they are buggered after the origin match. Origin becomes a better leveller between the haves and have nots. International matches occur after the regular season.

Evens everything up a little

At least all the teams might be truly under the salary cap

We might even win a $ 500 k TPA :sunglasses:

Bennett the annoying bleater that has always had the best interests of the game front of mind as long as it suits his teams agenda.

Simple: just play **one** SOO match.

With the NRL and a nationalised wage structure, SOO is now a dated concept. Just play one match each year.

Channel 9 would disagree. Too much advertising money down the drain.

If Bennett is really that concerned about player welfare maybe he should lead by resting all his SOO players the round after the game as well as the compulsory one beforehand. That way they would only play the one game over a 3 week period. All talk as usual.

Coaches make me laugh when they say they're concerned about player welfare but then ignore the players welfare and pick them anyway. If they were so concerned about a players health they wouldn't pick them.

You'll find that Bennett will rest players during SOO

I'll bet Geo will tell us in late changes that Corey Parker has been replaced and Gillett , Thaiday , McGuire play less minutes

He probably understands the demands of SOO on players more than anyone else

Yeah it's laughable….seems like Mr Bennett has contracted the Cam Smith complaining bug.

He needs to rest them all if he's genuinely concerned. Otherwise he's putting winning before his players health.

No, because we're not carrying on about player welfare

I'd be more than happy for Taylor to rest Farah. 18 months should do it.
