You're welcome. I imagine it's a compliment compared to what people normally say to you. You've been attacking me for months but you don't like it when it comes back to you. If you hate me so much then don't talk to me.

Was that in the beard thread when the players and coach were growing their beards? If it's the post I'm thinking of the post wasn't comparing anyone to a terrorist. It was saying that somebodies beard started looking like Saddam Hussein's beard when he was caught hiding in that hole in the ground.
 
Several posts have been deleted. Some people are walking a very fine line and may be put on mod preview. Stick to the topic and keep the personal attacks and insults out of it thanks.
 
You don't get it, tiger4ever. I'll try explaining it to you once again. I wasn't the one who started the whinging in this thread, so I'm not the one who needs the tissues. After I was being accused of doing wrong I was just letting people know that I have also got neg. rep. points (by some of the people accusing me of doing wrong) where in some cases were definitely not deserved. I had to say something otherwise people think that I am the bad guy and that they are innocent (which isn't true). You seem to think it's ok for you to complain about something but if someone else after that voices their concerns about something then they need tissues or are sooks. Do you see how you contradict yourself?

Not that I overly concerned about it
Just sometimes it gives you some friendly bait to throw overboard from time to time for a friendly stir

Well ignore it then - it's that simple. It wasn't meant to be serious. I saw it and thought it was funny, but then some people like to make cheap attacks against me on a forum. If anyone doesn't want to read what I write there's a thing in your settings where you can make it so you can't read what I write. That way I wont have to hear from idiots nitpicking about things I write, and what I have as my avatar.

Well thats pretty hypocritical. You give more neg rep points then perhaps anyone else, yet as soon as people take them off you, you say 'Well ignore it then - it's that simple'. Then why don't you take your own advice and ignore the posts that you don't care for? if you're prepaired to dish it out, you shouldn't complain when someone returns the favour
 
I quite like the rep points stuff, and I like it if someone gives me a green rep, obviously it means that what I have said, they believe it has contributed to the thread. I have often thumbs upped people when i've disagreed with their opinion if they have raised something I did not think of, or played dvils advocate to my position.
What I do I find amusing is when people give a thumbs down for a point they disagree, with, if everyone had the same opinion there would be no point coming to the site.

The most bizarre neg wrap I have ever got, was for relaying the views of some saints staff, they were not even my opinions :slight_smile:

I do like the concept as a whole

I think in one post you've encapsulated the good and bad elements of the rep point system!
 
The rep system is working fine, I see a great mix of users topping the list (highest rep) from those who are apathetic to most problems or club blunders; to those who are generally very critical.

We have already revoked permissions of users abusing the system and will continue to do so. As said in this thread, please inform an Admin or Mod (via PM only) if you feel as though you are being unfairly targeted by a particular user or several.

As said, this is means of peer moderation and the vast majority here use it fairly imo.

Ha so the points system is forcing the mods to come down hard on people abusing other forum members simply for having a difference of opinion and a lot of members in general acting like whingey old men / women.

Something I alluded to months ago and even went so far as to suggest that more often than not it was the mods who seemed to be pseudo flaming other members rather than actually moderating and banning people and /or deleting clearly offending posts.

Now they have the power (Rep Power maybe) to ban them based on abuse of the points voting system.

Other than that the rep power thing sounds like something out of Dungeons and Dragons, Final Fantasy or World of Warcraft where you combine Strength, Speed, Agility, Magic and other points to determine your overall skill level and after each battle you gain more points that all go towards you moving up a level.

Finally there was a suggestion very early to use WTF as part of the level names; every time I see that I think What The… then realise it refers to West Tigers Forum (or Fan/s maybe), but now that the whole role play side has been introduce maybe that could be changed to World of Tigers Fantasy.

I doubt he was banned - he's probably busy or something - but I would like to see a hall of shame to commemorate those who have been punted in the past!
