Forum's: Biggest dissapointment of the year

1)The dysfunctional Board, who couldnt agree on anything except the ill timed Brian Smith review mid season..the beginning of the end.
2)The lack of leadership & total sefishness of the "captain" when we really needed him to stand up & be counted.A genuine contender for no 1 tbh.Really good player, but….
3)Some gutless defensive performances from key players over the past 2 months-both sharks & panthers showed us up for exactly what we are.
4)David $mith at NRL headquarters, for covertly manipulating circumstances to achieve his agenda based on $$ rather than heritage

i had high expectation for Simona from last year. Bit of second year syndrome i guess.. I guess injuries and stuff around by coach with position also helped..

..almost forgot. The coach was a huge disappointment for
1)some diabolical selection decisions(Anasta vs Austin, secon rowers on the wing,Rowe vs Hitchcock,Galloway vs tapua etc
2)his inability to nurture & grow the young guns, almost all of whom failed to develop to any degree during the season ,particularly cf Penriths tyros who showed yet again last nite( against the warriors )what were missing
I like potter & have supported him from day one,but the above(plus our 13th finish & lack of player support) makes his position untenable

OMG there are still people who believe Potter wanted second rowers playing on the wing!!!!

Potter chose to play Cory Patterson when he cld have played Hitchcox…puhhhlease!
Mind you,he chose to play Rowe ahead of Hitchcox at fullback,& quite honestly I wld have chosen Corey for that one!

Farah…

(C) my arse, played a leading role in the downfall of our team, put himself before the team....lost all respect I had for him.

Everything was a disappointment. We had a brilliant start to the season, and then during the SOO period, it all went downhill. The form of the forwards started to drift, and without that pushing up the middle there wasn't much anyone could do. One highlight though was Blake Austin. He should be wearing number 6 next year, and give Mitch Moses another year to add on weight to his frame.

Other disappointment was a member of the Forum didn't get a call up for their NRL debut

I'm sick of being 18th man for RMC

Cant rewrite history my friend-Rowe got a callup before Hitchcox,
Thats what happened.
Full stop.
I recall Rowe actually playing on the wing & only let 2 tries inthat nite (which improved his NRL average!),& Patterson got a gig on the flank way before Hitchcox was given a run.

The lead up to the Dragons game and the crap fest that followed…

Good call. That was really the beginning of the end. I was also highly disappointed after the Titans game at LO when we got done, it only went downhill from there.

Adam Blair among many others.

I can handle Blair being criticised (and I joined in) for his previous two years, but this year? No way in the world. You must have been watching a different game.

Blair could turn water into wine and people will still whinge about it being red, not white.

He was a markedly better than last year, we're actually starting to get value out of him.

My biggest disappointment is that there is still this Balmain vs Magpies crap going on after 15 seasons.

Blair has been very good this year. Makes you wonder whether some people even watch the games.

My disappointment without a doubt was when Teddy got injured , just when we were seeing a partnership develop with Brooks and watching the side play with no commitment or passion
