why 8 at cambo ? nowhere near our leagues clubs or COE and makes no sense. We may aswell train at parramatta and play at kogarah oval ...

Bit like playing certain teams at certain grounds... You do know sometimes we play some once, some twice... Impossible contractually
There's no right answer... With this topic everyone has a different pov, dozens of options... and it shows why the clubs done nothing for 20 years trying to appease all

Well it is time the club grew a set and they set the agenda ! But as someone suggested to me today there is no divided supporter base ,yeh right ! Maybe read these threads ..
The time is right to move forward the club just needs a can do man ! But they are in very short supply these days !

It wasn't suggested there was no divide ..The question was why would playing at several home grounds cause a divide as you claim it does...?

Wouldn't selecting 1 home ground supporters don't like divide the supporter base....It's looks like from the responses in this thread given everyone has there own preferences it would achieve that..Lets see

ANZ..it's a cavern no good for Club footy
BankWest..Hate it..it's Parra's home ground
Campbelltown..Too far from Concord/Leagues Club
Leichhardt..it's a dump lose money playing there..

It's only a dump in your eyes Geo. Same as C'town to me.

One from the left field, North Sydney Oval is conveniently placed and close to public transport, however, parking could be an issue.

Lovely ground, looks great....

Worst ground to watch football, runs at the weirdest angle and parking is absolutely hopeless.

It's not in my eyes either Russ..none of our own grounds are to me don't mind any of them..it was a reply to what has been said in relation to home grounds...but at least you have your thoughts well known..

Kind of proves choosing 1 home ground will divide the supporter base not the other way round..

Not sure the three grounds is a bad idea.

However if we must have a bigger stadium (Prefer ANZ to Bankwest), CSS an LO.
Four at each is fine with me.

The club needs to advise there membership base if they are planning to walk away from there inner west/ western/ north western Sydney areas and make Campbelltown there home ground ..that’s not an issue but there is a need to know .. you can not ask for memberships to be pledged and not be transparent ..
The sooner the better !

What do you mean by walk away..?

The COE for Wests Tigers is being built in Concord...that wont change...

Where they play if it were to be 1 Ground..Campbelltown, Bankwest, ANZ, Leichhardt or Timbucktoo will be a while off should even these upgrades get done..

Also most Clubs have various home grounds and all take home games to various other places in a season...

Why does playing at different grounds for home games divide the supporter base as you claim..?

I'm not sure about dividing the supporter base but we've used 5 grounds as our Sydney home ground now. Dont you think that is ridiculous?

Not if it brings in the cash...

Thats a good argument for playing at the stadiums. But we lose money getting 10k at the suburbans, which we regularly do.

The suggestion is move to 1 Stadium.. said that ..being BankWest, ANZ, or a redeveloped Campbelltown or Leichhardt..the Suburbans won't be as they are if they are redeveloped..seems the issue is now is that the One could be Campbelltown we have already have questioning of renewals of memberships if that ends up being the case...

I don't see a problem playing at ANZ BankWest WestsSFS or Timbucktoo in one season..if it brings in revenue for just playing there..

This is a long way off anyway..

A long way off? Do you mean the suburban grounds getting developed or the clubs desire to have one home ground. They could have one home ground next year.

It won’t be next year. I believe there is still a ways to go on their contractual arrangements with ANZ/BankWest.

That doesn't mean that it can't be next year.

Can only be if it is BankWest, otherwise we will have to wait for one home ground.

or ANZ, they are both managed by venues NSW

Yes but the managers of ANZ/BankWest have said BankWest for home games. That’s why we are not playing at ANZ. The NSW govt wants to maximise the investment in BankWest. This may have changed after the weekend’s announcement but I doubt it.

No they haven't we were allowed to change because ANZ was going to be out of action, legally I don't think they would be able to prevent us from using ANZ if we wanted to.

ANZ wasn’t out of action last year. My preference would be ANZ but I cannot see that happening at all now. I think there is Buckley’s chance (none) of Wests Tigers having ANZ as the one home ground now.

The move was because it was going to be out action for a number of years, so why not move to the new ground early. I believe we should make Bankwest our home ground but most other people seem to prefer the totally inappropriate ANZ.

I'd prefer the Woolworths carpark at Gulargambone to Bankwest.

This made me laugh, I'd prefer a cattle paddock to ANZ

I'd be happy with 4 at each as long as one of the grounds is Bankwest instead of ANZ lol

There is a leagues club attached to the ground and a railway station and a carpark. What's the COE got to do with were we play.

I have yet to find out when Wests Ashfield sold Wests Campbelltown. I know it is now part of the Wests Group Macarthur but who owns that. Not being smart. Wests Ashfield bought the leagues club at Campbelltown when the Magpies moved there. I have not been able to find anything that says they sold it.

Read the last few posts above. They were also on the board of Wests Tigers but gave their vote back to Wests Ashfield. They also were once one the partners in bankrolling WT but gave that away to focus on bankrolling the juniors in the area,

I don't think it was a case of sold...more transfer of directors to be independently run outside of Wests Ashfield..

I know Wests Cambo gave up there board seat to Wests Ashfield in leiu of any financial responsibility to Wests Tigers..

They still are financially involved in what is now Wests Tigers Macarther junior leagues
