Four Signings Announced

Like Pettybourne but don't know much about the other two.
Interesting blog on the Titans website from Thompson just 2 weeks ago saying how he's looking forward to continuing his career with the Titans.

He was signed with them until end of next season so things have changed.

GC have signed Taylor so they probably need to free some cash I would think.
 
We have now essentially signed three backrowers for next year (Anasta, Pettybourne, Thompson). I'll just throw it out there but could this be a contingency if Blair was to go as well?
 
I understand the Pettybourne signing and the re-newal of Nofoaluma but seriously Isofeda and B.Thompson. So next year we are going to have 3 NON workers in our team of Anasta, Blair and Thompson :crazy

I have always defended Sheens on this forum but I am now coming around like others and I am thinking, HAS TIM SHEENS LOST THE PLOT :unamused:

I'd be very surprised if Blair goes. He tarnished his reputation a bit so isn't exactly going to find anywhere else offering half as much coin as he's on now. Tigers are stuck with him & I still have some confidence he'll come right at the business end of the season.

It is all about retaining depth and growing it.

Have as many talented guys as we can afford pushing for spots and giving their all.

Pettybourne hits and runs hard

Thompson good young kid 2 yrs ago was in contention for the kiwis also fills in at centre regularly for the titans

iosefa has speed and utility value could be handy at the back end of the year

nofoaloumo looks to be an awesome player showed by the number of clubs chasing him. with tuqiri and utai ending their careers soon with beau and marika we have some good stocks coming in
 
With our history of being decimated with injuries the past few years, I'm thinking this helps with depth if we're cursed again next year.
 
Pettyborne could play Prop for us, or be Ellis' replacement. Thompson could mean the end for Moors. Hard to fault the pick-ups- both are young & talented. Tigers forwards have gone from small & mobile to enormous & mobile. Can't be a bad thing.

Anasta will play 5/8 I reckon, with Benji at half, Moltzen at fullback.
 
It also gives us more options.

Bell can work on adding a bit of size to slot back into the prop rotation, Pettybourne has the aggresive game to play prop with the added bonus of footwork thrown in, Bodene offers cover in many positions. Ioseffa may just get his shot as a ball playing lock for BRET with the injury to Dave Harris as well last week.

There are alot of options and every signing move we have made is positive and well distributed.

Now it is going to be interested to see who we part ways with at seasons end
 
nofoaluma is a great signing, i believe he is better than tedesco. but it would be great to see both in 1st grade next year.
pettybourne and thompson are handy players but even with two of them i would rather keep ellis.
iosefa is a good pick up very quick good defender, QUESTION will we see him at 1/2 back this week, what do u think ?

This team is based on if we don't re-sign any of our current off contract players.
 
Maybe Heihgno is moving on too?,otherwise we have a wealth of backrow talent next year,but they are astute buys,and they wouldn't have cost the world either
 
Have these signings addressed our weakest positions in the spine??? Nope..!!! We need a halfback and fullback….poor recruitment IMO

Heighington wont be going anywhere, but for the rest, YES i do believe this will be there last year with the Tigers
 
Noafoluma & Teddy are our fullback options and the future will see young Sirro & Marshall paired in the halves which could work out to be a great combination and we still have Farah.

Our spine at full strength is looking quite good for mine
