Now all can finally see why DWZ was sought by the coach .. Thompson this Mbye that ,not fullbacks need one for 2020.

100%. One thing about Thommo is when he’s good he is excellent but boy when he has a stinker he goes the whole hog

How is Dylan Smiths development coming along. Is he available for selection after June 30?

He’s in the 30 but currently injured

Off contract fullbacks........

Jesse Arthars, Jai Field, Bevan French, Josh Hoffman, Jordan Kahu, Gideon Mosby-Gela, Tristan Sailor

Thomo will be fine just needs to fix up a few things, he hasn't played many on the trot at the back.
Let's judge him in 6 weeks after he's had a decent run of games there, he's much more of a threat than Mbye was, gets more involved and him and Benji seem to have a thing developing.

I’ll go the other way and say I’m prepared to judge him now....I think his only ever been a stop gap filler - anyone that thinks otherwise is definitely kidding themselves...As much as we all love Coreys big heart his not the answer for us at fullback - he gets found out to much in big games, we saw another example of that last night.

100% agree

A lot of players dropped balls last night, so I won't judge Thommo on this game alone. He's been so good at FB in the past, so I'll put it down to an off handling night.

He also helped setup our first try and made a try saver - not long after we score at the other end, so it wasn't all bad.

Mbye looked pretty good at centre and given the makeup of the team, Thommo is probably best placed to be our fullback right now.

We all know what to expect now though - bombs away.

Thommo has dropped plenty of bombs these last two weeks so he’ll get bombed relentlessly now.

He is our next long term fullback. Our answers are in the lower grades.

He has dropped 5 bombs in two weeks. Unfortunately for him, most of those bombs are uncontested kicks. Plus last week his positional play on 1-2 kicks had a role in a few tries.

I agree he needs a few games there, but the jury is definitely out. I think he is only a bandaid solution as well.

Smith is more of a prospect for next year, I daresay we'll be using Thommo/Mbye for the rest of the season.
